Waka Yamaga

Waka Yamaga is one of the female students who attended Akademi in 1980s Mode.

Waka has upper back-length blonde hair with two strands that split into three resting on her shoulders. Her bangs are swept to her right, covering her eyebrow. She has two strands framing her face that curl inwards under her eyes, with the left having a red ribbon tied around it. She has green eyes.

She wears the default 1980s uniform with a polaroid camera attached to a black strap hanging from her neck.

Previous[]

Before the October 21st, 2024 Build, she had collar-length greyish brown hair with a ponytail on her left that rested on her shoulder and bangs that nearly reached her eyes. She had grey eyes.

Among the Personas that are currently implemented in the game, Waka is a Sleuth. When the school atmosphere is above 80%, she will act upon the Snitch persona if she witnesses Ryoba Aishi commit murder or discovers a corpse.

When the school atmosphere is below 80% however, she will take a photo of Ryoba committing murder or the corpse and run to show it to The Journalist, who is just outside the school. This will cause Ryoba to be exposed. If the photo is of Ryoba committing murder, the Police will arrest her, causing an instant Game Over.

Routine[]

Week 1[]

Waka enters the school grounds with the other members of the Photography Club. She walks to the Locker Room at 7:05 AM and changes from her outdoor shoes to her indoor shoes. At 7:15 AM, she goes to the back of the school to observe the scenery.

At 8:00 AM, Waka walks to Classroom 1-2 and sits at her desk. She starts her morning classes at 8:30 AM. She leaves to eat her lunch in the Photography Clubroom with her clubmates at 1:00 PM.

Waka walks back to class at 1:30 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, she heads back to the back of the school and continues to observe the scenery until the end of the day.

If the Photography Club is disbanded, she will socialize with the other former members outside the club room during periods in which she would normally attend it.

Week 2[]

At 7:00 AM, Waka enters the school grounds. She walks to her at 7:05 AM and changes her shoes. She will then run upstairs to the Second Floor to sit and read in front of Classroom 2-1.

At 8:15 AM, Waka will run to Classroom 1-2 and sit at her desk. She starts her morning classes at 8:30 AM. She leaves to eat her lunch outside the Art Club at 1:00 PM.

Waka runs back to class at 1:28 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, she will sit and read at the stairs leading up to the second floor until the end of the day.

On Thursday, she will not participate in cleaning time and will instead sit and read until the end of the day.

Week 3[]

At 7:00 AM, Waka enters the school grounds. She walks to her locker at 7:05 AM and her shoes. She will then run upstairs to the second floor to sit and read in front of Classroom 2-1.

At 8:15 AM, Waka will run to Classroom 1-2 and sit at her desk. She starts her morning classes at 8:30 AM. She leaves to eat her lunch outside the Library at 1:00 PM.

Waka runs back to class at 1:28 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, she will sit and read by the Martial Arts Club until the end of the day.

On Thursday, she will not participate in cleaning time and will instead sit down and read until the end of the day.

On Friday, she will eat her lunch outside the Workshop.

Week 4[]

At 7:00 AM, Waka enters the school grounds. She walks to her locker at 7:05 AM and changes her shoes. She will then run outside to sit and read on the bleachers.

At 8:15 AM, Waka will run to Classroom 1-2 and sit at her desk. She starts her morning classes at 8:30 AM. She leaves to eat her lunch on the east side stairs leading up to the second floor at 4:00 PM.

Waka runs back to class at 1:28 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, she will head outside to sit and read by the Gymnasium until the end of the day.

On Thursday, she will not participate in cleaning time and will instead sit and read until the end of the day.

Week 5[]

At 7:00 AM, Waka enters the school grounds. She walks to her locker at 7:05 AM and changes her shoes. She will then run upstairs to sit and read in Classroom 3-2.

At 8:15 AM, Waka will run to Classroom 1-2 and sit at her desk. She starts her morning classes at 8:30 AM. She leaves to eat her lunch outside the Workshop at 4:00 PM.

Week 8[]

At 7:00 AM, Waka enters the school grounds. She walks to her locker at 7:05 AM and changes her shoes. She will then head up to the third floor to sit and read outside the Foreign Studies Room.

At 8:15 AM, Waka will run to Classroom 1-2 and sit at her desk. She starts her morning classes at 8:30 AM. She leaves to eat her lunch outside the Sociology Classroom at 1:00 PM.

Waka runs back to class at 1:28 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, she will sit and read by Classroom 1-1 until the end of the day.

Week 9[]

During Week 9, Waka will take photographs of Chigusa Busujima at the Swimming Pool for a photoshoot alongside the other Photography Club members, making it harder for Ryoba Aishi to kill her without a witness.

Week 10[]

During Week 10, Waka helps with Sonoko Sakanoue's investigation. She will spend her free periods investigating several students, including Ryoba.

Relationships[]

Wataru Murata[]

Waka originally joined the Photography Club as she had a crush on Wataru, but Ryoba's notebook says Waka doesn't have a crush on anyone; this mean she lost interest in Wataru before the events of 1989.

However, YandereDev said that both Wataru and Waka ended up together after the event of 1980s Mode.^[2]

Trivia[]

Waka's first name has several possible writings, such as "young" (若), "harmonious incense" (和香), or "ancient Japan, addition" (倭加).
- Her surname, Yamaga, means "mountain" (yama, 山) and "congratulations, joy" (ga, 賀).
Waka is the only character, apart from Ryoba, rivals and suitors, to have a crush in 1980s Mode. She had a crush on Wataru Murata, but these feelings faded before the events of 1989.
