Aoi Ryugoku's Story - How I Lost My Left Eye

Introduction

Hello, everyone. It is me, Fanon Aoi Ryugoku. I am the Enforcer of the Student Council at Akademi High and I'll be sharing my story of how I lost my left eye. You'll also get to know how I got my scars and how I got my super cool eyepatch! Keep in mind that this is your pal fanon Aoi's story. Not canon Aoi's story. I was 15 when I lost my eye and I was together with my best friend, Megami Saikou. I am very loyal to her and I would do anything to protect her!

Part 1: Meeting Up With Megami

We were out late at night when the incident happened. Megami was around the same age as me at the time. She trusts me with her deepest and darkest thoughts. She even trusts me with her life and I felt the same way about her. I also trust her with my deepest and darkest thoughts, and even with my life as well. We are just like sisters. We are very close to each other. I've known her since childhood and she's always been there for me. She's my dearest and closest friend. Someone who's always been there for me. I just wish her parents weren't so darn strict. I know her life at Saikou Corp. isn't the best. It's not easy for her and she's told me a bit about it before but didn't want to bother me with it so she never told me that much about it. Anyways, her life wasn't getting any easier and she just wanted to get the hell out of that building for some fresh air despite it being late at night. She was desperate and needed to tell someone how she felt. She just wanted to get all her struggles and feelings off her chest. She could no longer keep it together and she knew the only person she could tell was her best friend, aka me. So she called me in the middle of the night. She said it was urgent and I could hear by the tone of her voice that she clearly sounded upset and that something was bothering her. It sounded urgent indeed so of course I sneaked out of my house to meet up with her! I don't know how she did it, but she somehow was able to sneak out of Saikou Corp. which is an extreme protected building with very high and tight security. Then again, I'm not that surprised because she practically lives there and has grown up there all her life so she knew what to do to get around the tight security, not to mention that she's also a very smart girl with a very high IQ. So anyways, I sneaked out of my house, grabbed my bike, and quickly made my way to our meet up spot. It was a very secluded area. When we both arrived at our meet up spot, Megami instantly started talking about how she desperately needed to get out of that building after being inside for days, not being allowed to leave. I knew she really needed a shoulder to lean on so I was all ears and listened closely to what she had to say. I quickly noticed that she started to tear up a bit. Hell, she had been holding in these feelings for days! I know Megami doesn't show her feelings that easily, especially not feelings of sadness or desperation. So I was kinda surprised to see her crying a little bit but at the same time, I actually wasn't because again, she had been keeping these feelings and struggles bottled up for days. I never saw Megami like that before and it was at that moment that I knew that she really needed me. She really needed her best friend so without saying anything, I gave her a big hug and as soon as I hugged her, Megami really started to cry. She was letting out all her bottled up feelings. I continued to hug her, letting her know that I was there for her.

Part 2: A Mysterious Figure

Unfortunately for us, things were about to take a drastic and unexpected turn. A dark figured appeared out of nowhere behind me and in front of Megami. I didn't notice because he approached us silently and Megami...Well, she definitely did see him. Upon seeing him, she screamed and I immediately turned around. It appeared to be a man dressed in total black. He also had a mask on and I could see that he had his eyes on Megami. I felt that he either wanted to hurt her or take her. It wouldn't surprise me if he knew who she was because let's face it, who doesn't know the one and only Megami Saikou? She was a member of one of the richest families in Japan. Wouldn't surprise me if she, along with her family, are the richest people in this country so yeah, I wouldn't be too surprised if this man knew who she was. So without a second thought, I lunged at him and was more than willing to fight him! I wasn't gonna let him harm Megami! I fought with all my strength to take him down! He didn't expect me to be so strong so I thought I had him but then he decided to pull out a weapon. It was a sharp dagger and unfortunately for me, he was stronger than I was. *sighs* He then...grabbed me by my neck and pinned me against a wall. He wanted to stab me in my face. Even though he had me pinned, I took a quick glance at Megami and I could see that she was completely consumed by fear, which froze her into place. I could see that this scary situation together with all the feelings that she had been holding in were too much for her, causing her to shut down. She screamed and screamed but no one could hear any of use because we were in a very secluded area. I had never seen her so hopeless, vulnerable, and scared. I just wanted to be there for her and hug her but that stupid asshole had me pinned down and he was much stronger than me! I wasn't going anywhere...I was able to keep the dagger away from my face for quite a bit, though. I kept pushing his hand that had the dagger away from me and while doing so, I also kept glancing at Megami while also keeping an eye on the weapon. While glancing back and forth at Megami, I could see that feelings of regret were flooding her mind. My gut was telling me that she regretted picking such a secluded area but I don't blame her. After all, how could she have known that some stupid fuck was gonna attack us? She couldn't have known. I knew she picked such a spot because she wanted to talk to me in all peace and quiet. She continued to scream and cry and eventually fell down on her knees after realizing that no one heard her. I could hear her screaming "WHY?! WHY DID I PICK THIS SPOT OUT OF ALL PLACES?! HOW COULD I HAVE BEEN SO FOOLISH?!" I then yelled "THIS ISN'T YOUR FAULT, BESTIE! YOU COULDN'T HAVE KNOWN!" back at her but she didn't respond. She just continued crying and screaming. Meanwhile, that assbag still had me pinned to the wall and I was slowly starting to lose my strength. My arms were getting weak and tired and the dagger started making its way towards my face. The man then aimed at my left cheek and cut it, leaving a nasty gash. I was so focused on the weapon after he cut me that I didn't think about kicking him away or something. I should've kicked him in the balls! But...I didn't because I was too focused on his dagger. I kept trying to push his hand that had the dagger away from me but my arms were at their limit and I could no longer push his hand away. My arms and my whole body were starting to get very weak and tired from this struggle. For the first time ever, I felt like giving up. In one last desperate attempt to push his hand away, I closed my eyes and pushed his hand away as hard as I could to no avail. My arms were beyond tired and they really started to hurt. Oh dear...

Part 3: The Incident!

*sigh* Well, get ready because this is the part...The man noticed that I could no longer hold him off and that I was weak and tired so he took his dagger and stabbed me right in my left eye. It went completely through my eyelid and eyeball. Now, I'm not a pussy when it comes to pain. I can definitely take pain but this was beyond painful. I tried not to scream but failed. The guy then finally let go of me and started making his way towards Megami. She was beyond mortified at the fact that he hurt me but I could also see that she was angry at herself for not being able to help me. I wasn't mad at her. I understood that she couldn't help me because she was consumed by her own fear. It didn't make me angry at her. Megami continued to scream and cry and even though I was in a lot of pain, I knew he wanted to hurt her and I couldn't let that happen. I. GOT. PISSED. OFF. I yelled "I WON'T LET YOU HURT HER!" to him and I felt adrenaline pumping through my entire body. I could feel myself getting stronger and I stopped thinking about the pain. All I could think about was my best friend, Megami. I WASN'T GONNA LET HIM HURT HER! The dagger was still stuck in my eye. I pulled it out of my eye and ran toward that asshole while screaming furiously at him and I slammed the dagger right in his back! I got him good because he yelled and fell right to the ground! A BIG SCORE FOR YOUR PAL AOI! However, I also collapsed on the ground as well and fainted. The adrenaline was slowly leaving my body and the pain was too much for me to handle. I don't remember what happened next because I was unconscious. All I know was that I was in the hospital after waking up and regaining my consciousness. And who was there right next to my hospital bed? You guessed it. My best friend Megami. I was still in pain but was aware of my surroundings. I was just glad that Megami was there with me and that she was safe. She told me that she witnessed the man being able to reach the dagger and pull it out of his back. He took it with him and ran away, leaving us alone. She then told me she held me in her arms and that she called an ambulance. Thankfully, they were able to track her phone's location. They drove me to the hospital and she then told me that my left eye had been removed in surgery. She said that my eyeball was completely destroyed and that it had to be taken out....

Part 4 (FINAL PART): A Happy Ending!

I remained in the hospital for a week so that I could recover. Megami visited me every day and she told me that she did have to make up some excuses and lies to be able to come visit me because her parents weren't very keen on her leaving the Saikou Corp. building but she was able to convince them and told them that I was in a horrible accident. They knew how much I meant to her so they gave her permission to come visit me! We both giggled when Megami told me that she made up lies and excuses just to be able to visit me! Heh heh. I recovered fast and well and I was left with an empty eye socket, an eye scar, and a cheek scar! So after about a week, I was allowed to leave the hospital! I was given a medical eyepatch but Megami brought me a very special gift on the day that I was dismissed from the hospital. I was getting ready to leave but before I could, Megami entered my room and she had a small gift box in her hand. "What's that?" I asked her. "I know you love dragons, Aoi." was her reply. She then opened the box and took out a black eyepatch with a white dragon on it. She showed it to me and I was super excited! It looked so damn cool and badass! I then gave her the honor to put it on me, which she was very happy to do! I walked up to a mirror and I was absolutely in love with my super cool and badass eyepatch! I then thanked her and gave her a big hug! "Now, let's get the hell out of here!" I said to her and together, we left the hospital with one arm around each other, like best friends! And that is how I lost my left eye! It's also how I got my scars! But what about that mysterious man who attacked me and most likely wanted to hurt my best friend as well? Well, the police weren't able to find him. He covered up his identity too well and not to mention that he took his dagger with him. The police couldn't gather much evidence and the case quickly went cold. Was the guy a Yakuza member? Had he been following Megami to our meet up spot or did he just appear out of nowhere? We may never know but it definitely wouldn't surprise me if he was a Yakuza member. Thanks for reading my story! I hope you enjoyed it, despite it being rather scary and gruesome. Now you all know what happened and how I lost my eye, how I got my scars, and even how I got my super cool eyepatch! Even though the police weren't able to catch the guy, it's still a happy ending because my best friend was SAFE and I recovered well and fast! I am proud of having only one eye. I wouldn't have done anything different on the day of the incident!
