Umeji Kizuguchi is one of the male students who currently attends Akademi.
Appearance[]
Umeji has spiky, blond hair and orange eyes that fade into yellow, which is then framed by thin, arched eyebrows. He has a large scar running down the middle of his right eye.
He wears the default school uniform with the jacket open, revealing a dark yellow shirt with a flaming skull on it, a Weapon Bag containing a Baseball Bat on his back, and a lobe piercing and three helix-shaped piercings on his left ear unless customized by the player.
Prior to becoming a delinquent, he wore the default male uniform and had short salmon-pink hair.
Personality[]
Osoro Shidesu, the leader of the delinquent gang, is absent from school. This student is Osoro's right hand man, and has been trusted with leading the delinquents while Osoro is absent.
Among the Personas that are currently implemented in the game, Umeji is Violent. If Ayano Aishi aims her Phone at him, he won't react to it. If he sees Ayano carrying a corpse or committing murder, he will run up to her and begin a combat mini-game, and if Ayano wins, he will run out of the school and call the police. However, if he witnesses Ayano carrying or murdering a bully, he will compliment her on her crime and run off. This is because Umeji wishes death on Bullies who bullied him and his friends, as seen in the Death Demon's ritual.
If he witnesses Ayano carrying the corpse of or murdering Kokoro Momoiro when all of the other bullies are dead, he will run up to her and begin a combat mini-game until he or Ayano has been downed.
If Ayano initiates a fight with him, he will fight until either one of them is injured. If he loses, he will drop his weapon and sit down.
If he sees Ayano bloody or insane, he will only mock her and not lower her reputation.
Umeji's dislike for cosplay is purely because he doesn't like the topic of fiction or fantasy in general; these kinds of topics don't appeal to him.[3]
Umeji is a dry texter.[4]
Despite being a delinquent, he does not actually hurt other people. He will make a move if he, his friends, or anybody else (who isn't a bully) is in danger. He is repulsed by the Bullies and would prefer someone kind and compassionate. Someone who is the opposite of the bullies.[5] Umeji's delinquent personality is merely an important façade, as he would only let his guard down when he knows that the area he is in is where a peer from his school won't see him. The lower the possibility, the more relaxed and casual he becomes.[6]
Due to his love for cooking, his future career is most likely as a cook.[7]
He was a shy and weak-willed boy before he was bullied.[8]
He's the 4th most aggressive member of the delinquents.[9]
Background[]
Originally, Umeji was bullied to the point of considering a suicide pact with his four friends after the bullying reached its peak. However, after he and his friends witnessed Osoro beat up multiple students from another school, he realized the importance of a tough façade, joined with her, and changed his appearance and attitude to fit that of a delinquent.[10] Umeji, alongside the other delinquents, started getting bullied simultaneously.[11]
Umeji's scar is a result of him and his friends walking up to the Bullies, pulling out their knives, and slitting their skin in various spots. The group of boys glared at Musume Ronshaku for a bit, then left with blood dripping on their faces. It sent a message to Musume and her friends, who realized that the next time they bullied the delinquents, the damage the boys did to themselves would be done to them next. The bullies have stopped bullying them since.[12]
He projects a "fearsome" appearance so that he will not be bullied again.[13] Umeji is currently the leader of the delinquents while Osoro Shidesu is away, as he is her right-hand man.
He doesn't have any romantic interests at Akademi, only Osoro.[14]
Routine[]

At 7:06 AM, Umeji enters the school grounds with the other delinquents. He walks to his locker at 7:07 AM and changes from his outdoor shoes to his indoor shoes. At 7:12 AM, he walks to the incinerator and talks with Hokuto Furukizu, Gaku Hikitsuri, Dairoku Surikizu, and Hayanari Tsumeato.
At 8:30 AM, Umeji walks into Classroom 3-1, sits at his desk. He starts his morning classes and leaves to eat his lunch at the incinerator at 1:00 PM.
Umeji walks to class at 1:30 PM and goes to the incinerator between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM and stays there until the end of the day.

Money can be obtained through multiple sources, such as completing a part-time job at the Maid Cafe (or the bedroom menu), reading a postcard from Ryoba Aishi found in the Aishi House living room, or purchasing 5 drops of the "Wad of Cash" from Info-chan's drops menu for 100 Info Points. Relationships[]
Osoro Shidesu[]
- Main article: Osoro Shidesu
Umeji idolizes Osoro after she beat up students from a rival school in Shisuta Town; as a result, his own appearance and behavior were changed in order to be more like hers. Umeji is appointed as Osoro's wingman. He would never give out information that would harm Osoro.[17]
He is regarded by Osoro as having more leadership qualities than the other delinquents.[18] Osoro also finds Umeji the easiest to be friends with.[19]
Delinquents[]
Umeji's relationship with his fellow delinquents is best described as people who have a mutual trust and friendship with one another, and they spend a lot of time together. Their situation does not make them friends, but rather "comrades in arms". They do develop friendships with one another gradually.[20]
When they talk near the Incinerator Area, they talk about their shared interests. They also talk about the students at Akademi. Who may be a bully, who may be bullied, and where they should relocate if they want to keep an eye on someone.[21]
Family[]
Umeji has two little brothers and two little sisters[17][22] who are all under 10 years old or younger,[23] making Umeji the oldest child. He deeply cares for his family, as seen both in his conversational topics and trivia. If Ayano completes his task, he uses the $100 to buy food for his siblings.[24] YandereDev says that Umeji cooks for his siblings due to the fact that their parents aren't available for them because of their jobs. As a result of these circumstances, Umeji has excellent cooking skills.[17] While he is proud of his cooking ability, he wants to learn more cooking-related skills to get better, so that he can make more meals for his siblings.[25]
His younger siblings make "stupid brainrot meme jokes" around Umeji, which annoys him. Which is why he dislikes the topic of "Memes".[26]
Despite his parents' frequent absences, he still loves and appreciates them. This is because he understands that they have to spend most of their time working in order to pay the bills and necessities for a family of 7.[27] Additionally, it is also known that the family is poor, as his parents often work 12+ hours to barely afford for his siblings.[28] To escape the suffering of poverty that his family is in, Umeji's parents saved up enough money that allow Umeji to get an outstanding education at the best school in Japan so that his future would be brighter and avoid being doomed as poor. If the money had not been spent on Umeji's education, it could've been enough to improve the conditions of the Kizuguchi family. The money was not enough to buy a bigger house or anything like that, so his parents decided to spend it on their eldest son.[29]
YandereDev would like to confirm the Lingerie Store Owner to be Umeji's mother, but out of respect for Mulberry, the artist for Umeji, he has not declared this canon.[30]
His siblings are too young to do housework; however, they're trying to 'grow up fast' so they can contribute, due to the fact that they dislike seeing their older brother helping out so much.[31]
He respects his mother.[32]

- Amai Odayaka: Umeji would like to be friends with Amai[25] and wishes to buy food from her bake sale during Week 2, but does not do so[33] to maintain his tough façade.
Trivia[]
- He was implemented in the April 26th, 2018 Build.
- His name, Umeji (梅地), means "plum area", while his surname, Kizuguchi (傷口), means "wound".
- YandereDev originally planned to name him Ai (from the word eye), but this idea was abandoned as players would not approve of this way of choosing a name for a character.[34]
- He is YandereDev's favorite delinquent.[36]
- If Umeji were to join a club at Akademi, he would pick the Cooking Club because of his experience cooking for his siblings.[22]
- He is currently one of ten students who have a bounty, with the others being Ryuto Ippongo, Fureddo Jonzu, Kyuji Konagawa, Horuda Puresu, Otohiko Meichi, Hazu Kashibuchi, Toga Tabara, Uekiya Engeika, and Horo Guramu.
