The 1980s Mode tutorial is a Yandere Simulator's step-by-step tutorial that teaches the player to understand and utilize the game's basic mechanics.
Description[]
Since the release of the 1980s Mode on October 10th, 2021, it featured a brand new to the game tutorial. Currently, it features a couple of steps that the player has to follow.
- Tutorial tells player about Ryoba's first victim, Sumire Saitozaki and how she was murdered
- You can't prevent the death of Sumire Saitozaki by skipping a tutorial. This event will still happen in the lore of the game even if you don't play the tutorial.
Gameplay[]
The player will be spawned in front of the school, surrounded by groups of void students. The protagonist then will have to make their way to the Cooking Club to get a weapon — Knife. After that, you will need to make your way to Art Club and take masking tape. Then you will need to craft makeshift body bags in workshop. Then, head to the girl's bathroom on 3rd floor. The player then will be instructed to hide in a bathroom stall and wait for Sumire to arrive at the scene. After talking to her, take out your knife from your Inventory and kill Sumire. Then you will need to conceal her body in the bag, mop up the blood, and dispose of all evidence. After burning evidence, player will learn how to use "Apologise" feature on Ui Tunesu
Trivia[]
- Sumire Saitozaki will still be dead even after skipping the tutorial
- During the tutorial, Ui Tunesu can be seen two times around the school, looking at the player.
- You can access to the happy ending while completing the tutorial. This is done by obtaining Ichiko Saikou's phone number through the basement postcard, punching in the number in the landline phone found in the Faculty Room, and calling it.
