The Aishi Precursor Gallery

The Aishi "Precursor" is the foundress of the Aishi Family.

The character Beldere-chan from the video game Yanvania: Senpai of the Night is implied to be inspired by her.

Appearance[]

The "color scheme" of her clothes was always red, white, and blue, like Ayano's default school uniform, and she wore traditional Japanese clothing after arriving in Japan. In dreams, she has a high ponytail, "confident" idle pose, and wears a cape and some type of clothing with puffed ankle sleeves and puffed shorts.[2] She also resembled Ayano physically.[3]

Personality[]

She was born without any conditions.[4] YandereDev stated that her persona was something like "Hero-dere", which may mean that her original persona was similar to the Heroic persona seen in some students at Akademi.[3]

Background[]

She was born in 1779,[5][6] under a different surname. Her parents were somewhere in their 20s when she was born.[7] Due to the circumstances surrounding her life and her lifestyle, it's entirely possible she may have been forced to kill a human at some point, but if so, it wasn't a love rival, but someone who was threatening her life.[2]

In 1795, when she was 16, she met her "Senpai,"[7] with whom she fell in love. An unknown third party informed him that she was in love with him,[8] and he reciprocated her feelings.

In 1797, when she was 18, she formed a relationship with her Senpai,[7] and together, they emigrated from their country to Japan. Love bloomed between them naturally,[2] and their feelings were genuine and mutual. However, they were also in a position where they had almost no other options,[9] as they were strangers in a foreign land who couldn't speak a word of the language, so they didn't have much of a choice but to stick close to one another from that day forward. Separating from one another became unthinkable since neither of them wanted to be completely alone in a strange land. Under these circumstances, they became pretty much inseparable and completely dependent on one another, which eventually led to them becoming lifelong partners.[3] When she tried to introduce herself to the locals, they couldn't pronounce her name at all, as her original name had several letters that don't exist in the Japanese alphabet, so she eventually had to adopt a "Japanified" version of her original name, that the locals could pronounce more easily than her real name,[8] and a new surname. By the time they both had learned enough of the local language to communicate with others, they realized that identifying themselves as "husband and wife", even though there probably wasn't an "official" wedding between them,[10] was the least-complicated way to introduce themselves to the locals. Part of this involved using the same surname. That's when she and her "husband" started using the Japanese surname "Aishi."[7] YandereDev stated that he has something in mind for the occupation/role that they performed once they arrived in Japan, but he wouldn't like to reveal it.[10] He also didn't reveal in what classes they were, but did state it was a "class outside of normal society."[11] During that time, she had an encounter with her first "love rival." She had to deal with one, technically two rivals, whom she eventually killed, but it was entirely in self-defense.[2] During that time, she also met an unknown merchant who became her ally. She was an ancestor of Info-chan and her appearance closely resembles her, having spiky, neck-length red hair with a small ahoge on top, red eyes, and a pair of red glasses. The merchant used magic to peer into the future to see the devices the people in the modern day were using, and created a crystal ball that was in the shape of a rectangle.[8][12]

In 1800, when she was 21, she gave birth to her first child,[7][6] a daughter.[13] Her daughter was the First Aishi who was born under this surname (even though "Aishi" was her name, not her surname), in Japan, and with the family condition. Her daughter was the eighth great-grandmother of Ayano Aishi and the seventh great-grandmother of Ryoba Aishi.[6] Apparently, through her descendant Azebiki's studies, Aishi was abandoned as a baby and adopted by an infertile couple who yearned to start a family.[14]

She died in the mid-1800s.[1]

Trivia[]

  • Her first name hasn't been revealed yet, but YandereDev confirmed that, she's not named after a blade. YandereDev also stated that her name doesn't have any Japanese letters, which is the same as her surname, so she had to change it.
  • YandereDev stated that he has an illustration of her, but wouldn't like to reveal or describe it.[11]
  • YandereDev stated that he came up with the year and age at which she died, but he wouldn't like to reveal it.[10]
  • Though it's not specific which nation the Aishi Precursor originated from, a part of the "What if the Aishi Family replaced the Imperial Family?" video pans from East Asia to Japan, which gives a clue as to her country of origin.
  • The Aishi Precursor slayed Ms. Basu using the Heartrender when using the Dreams mechanic to learn about the Aishi lore.
  • In the old 1980s Mode Post-True Ending timeline scene, The Aishi Precursor was called "The First Aishi." It was since been changed and The First Aishi is a seperate character.
    • The Aishi Precursor initially was said to have experienced the Aishi Condition, but this has since been retconned.
