Akane Toriyasu

Akane Toriyasu is one of the female students who currently attends Akademi. She is the Secretary of the Student Council.

Appearance[]

Akane wears the Student Council uniform.

Akane has long scarlet hair tied into a ponytail at the front. She also has two orange feathers behind her left ear. She wears a see-through, lace garter belt. She has thin eyes^[2], and if they are opened, they are orange. Her bust size is 1.5. She wears the "Red Armband of Leadership" on her left arm reading 生徒会 (seito kai), meaning Student Council written in kanji. As of the May 19th, 2021 Build, she now has orange eyebrows and pinkish glossy lips, as well as a bit of a blush around her eyes. She now also has a band in her hair that keeps it tied together at the front. Previously, it looked like her hair was tied together with another piece of hair instead of a band.

Personality[]

Among the personas currently implemented in the game, Akane is Dangerous. If she sees Ayano murder anyone she will run-up to her, spray her with pepper spray, and restrain her. She will push Ayano away gracefully if she gets too close and will spray her with pepper spray if she attempts to kill her without stealth or if she gets too close to her five times. She will break up fights between Ayano and a delinquent by politely asking them to stop fighting. If Ayano aims her phone at Akane, she'll stand still but will show no reaction. Intimidation will also not work on Akane if Ayano attempts to intimidate her when she has joined the delinquents. Akane is also not affected by seduction.

There are rumors that her kind personality is a facade.^[3] But, according to Yandere Dev, the rumors have not been confirmed. This is later confirmed that her kind personality is a facade, as she's secretly cruel and sadistic by the Death Demon Ritual.

Routine[]

At 7:00 AM, Akane leaves the Student Council Room and will begin patrolling all the clubrooms around the school, starting with the Cooking Club.

At 8:00 AM, Akane walks to Classroom 3-1, sits at her desk, and plays around on her phone before her classes start. She starts her morning classes at 8:30 AM and leaves to go to patrol the clubrooms at 1:00 PM. She walks back to class again at 1:22 PM, sits at her desk, and plays around on her phone again until her next classes start. Her next classes start at 1:30 PM. At 3:30 PM, she goes back to patrolling all the clubrooms and at 4:00 PM, she goes to the Student Council Room and stays there for the rest of the day.

On Fridays at 3:30 PM, Akane will go to the Meeting Room and meet up together with the rest of the Student Council and all the club leaders to have a meeting.

If Akane is fired in Mission Mode, she will eat lunch in the Student Council room instead of patrolling the school which enables the player to poison her. Furthermore, firing her allows the player to interact with Akane like any regular student.

She was first shown in the "The Student Council in Yandere Simulator (Gameplay Focus)" video.
She's based on one of the four gods in Chinese mythology, namely "Vermilion Bird" (朱雀, read as Suzaku).
- Her first name may consist of the same kanji as in Vermilion Bird's Japanese name (朱, read as Aka) which means "vermilion red", or of the alternative kanji (赤, also read as Aka) which means "red", together with kanji 音 (read as Ne) which means "sound" if you mix it together to akane, then it means "madder" (茜). Her last name consists of another kanji for the word "bird" (kanji 雀 which means "sparrow-like bird" from Vermilion Bird's Japanese name can't be read as Tori) which is 鳥 (read as Tori) which means "chicken-like bird", together with kanji 安 (read as Yasu) which means "cheap/calm" or kanji 休 (also read as Yasu) which means "rest".
- In Japan, some chicken (esp. yakitori) restaurants are named "Toriyasu."
- YandereDev considered naming her Akatori Kubota.^[4]

As of the January 13th, 2018 Build, if her eyes are opened using Pose Mode or through dismemberment, they are orange.
- Originally, if her eyes were opened, they were green. This was a mistake.^[6]
