Strangulation

Strangulation, a variation of Homicide, is a lethal method used to eliminate students in Yandere Simulator.

Gameplay[]

The protagonist has to sneak behind a student and use one of the several items to strangulate another student. The student will struggle with Ayano for ten seconds before dying, but the noises will not alarm characters that don't see it directly, making it a stealth homicide. Ayano can use the following items to strangle her victims:

Garrote (available as a "drop" from Info-chan);
Earphones (found in the Light Music Club)
Jump Rope (found in the Gym Storage Room)
Measuring Tape (found in the Sewing Room)
Necklace (found in the Occult Club)
Stethoscope (found in the Infirmary)

Corpses of strangulated victims don't leave blood behind; however, the protagonist still have to dispose of them. If the corpse is discovered, the School Atmosphere will be lowered by 20 points and the police will be called. If the police arrive at school before the body is disposed of, they will know that the victim was murdered. They will then try to search for any corpses or weapons on school grounds. If no other corpses or weapons are found, they will leave since they do not have enough evidence to perform an arrest. If weapons and corpses are found, the game will treat the other deaths as homicide cases and will begin to look for evidence for all the other deaths.

If the protagonist attempts to attack a teacher or Raibaru Fumetsu, she will be immediately apprehended, resulting in Game Over.

Carrying the Stethoscope and Garrote will have a "Visibly Armed" HUD.

Trivia[]

If a majority of rivals are strangled to death (or murdered with him knowing the aftermath), Senpai will worry that he is cursed^[1] and may refuse Ayano's confession, fearing her death.
This elimination method was made to balance out the stealth attack animations used with long blunt objects, which doesn't require the player to clean up blood after killing their victims. YandereDev stated he plans to nerf long blunt weapons in future updates.^[2]
