Storage Rooms

The storage rooms are six small closets across the building of Akademi.

Two storage rooms are also found in the Gymnasium.

Appearance[]

There are eight storage rooms on Akademi grounds, with 6 of them inside the school building. The other two can be found in the school gym. Each floor has two storage rooms, with only one storage room locked. The locked storage room, with a sign "Out of Order" can only be unlocked by enabling debugs after the player beats the demo. This closet contains several easter eggs for the player to try out. All of the storage rooms are furnished with props, and some of them contain useful items.

Unlike most other rooms inside the school, there are no signs outside the storage rooms, with the exception of the one locked behind debugs.

The rooms in the school building have single doors, while the ones in the gym have sliding doors.

Objects found in the first floor storage room in the west wing includes the Car Battery, Garbage Bags, a Water Cooler and the Raincoat.

Objects found in first gymnasium storage room includes the Baseball Bat, 50-kg Weight, Dumbbell and the Jump Rope.

There is also a musical case in the second gymnasium storage room, which can be used to kidnap a female student.

Usage[]

The rooms cannot be used to hide bodies, as the protagonist cannot lock the doors.^[1] Players who are going for the genocide ending often use these rooms to hide corpses.

In the Akademi building, Science Club members (with the exception of the club leader) will visit the Storage Rooms regularly to retrieve supplies. While the Light Music Club members (except the leader) play instruments near the door. Which includes:

In 202X Mode, Homu Kurusu retrieves supplies from the storage room on the Third Floor, in the east wing. Kiba Kawaito can be seen practicing her keytar near the door.
- In 1980s Mode, Chizuru Yamaguchi retrieves supplies from the storage room, with Umeko Uchiyama practicing her keytar near the door.
In 202X Mode, Meka Nikaru retrieves supplies from the storage room on the Third Floor, in the west wing. Dora Tamamoto can be seen practicing her drums near the door.
- In 1980s Mode, Azusa Mitsuishi retrieves supplies from the storage room, with Takako Ueda practicing her drums near the door.
In 202X Mode, Yaku Zaishi retrieves supplies from the storage room on the Second Floor, in the east wing. Beshi Takamine can be seen practicing her guitar near the door.
- In 1980s Mode, Chujiro Kitasume retrieves supplies from the storage room, with Sachi Yoneyama practicing her guitar near the door.
In 202X Mode, Horo Guramu retrieves supplies from the storage room on the Second Floor, in the west wing. Gita Yamahato can be seen practicing her guitar near the door.
- In 1980s Mode, Bunzo Ohta retrieves supplies from the storage room, with Ran Uchimara practicing her guitar near the door.

In the school gymnasium, the first storage room is only visited by members of the occult club, regardless of the game mode. They will be seen investigating the Seven Mysteries of Akademi, with the mystery focused on the basketball.

The second one can be used to kidnap a female student if the player has a sedative, the Syringe, asked the girl to follow her, has a Rank 1 in biology and closed the doors. If none of these objectives are followed, the protagonist will accidentally murder the girl.

With the locked closet on the first floor, there are easter eggs for the player to try out and experiment with. The easter eggs include:

The Cardboard Box
- There is a cardboard box inside the room that the protagonist can "hide" in. This is a reference to the famous cardboard box stealth mechanic found in the Metal Gear series. The player can remove it by pressing the Left Control key.
Cheese
- An Undertale Easter Egg is unlocked by examining the wedge of cheese on the floor. Some text will appear for the player to read.
- After checking the cheese, if the protagonist walks into the Occult Club, the skull on the altar will have a glowing blue eye, similar to the character Sans.
Crush
- There is a large golden C on one of the shelves. Pressing the E key when prompted will scroll the protagonist through several of the Crush Crush characters from the anime based game. These models can be combined with other accessories.
YouTuber Accessories
- There are eight YouTuber-related accessories that the protagonist can wear during gameplay. These accessories include Simply April's bunny ears, VeggieGamer's carrot, Jay from the Kubz Scouts sunglasses, iHasCupquake's unicorn horn, Markiplier's pink mustache, TheNyanCave's NyanDroid, and Keylina NbG's panda. Each of these accessories cannot be removed until the day ends or is restarted.
Cheongsam
- There is a miniature Cheongsam/Qipao on a table on the left side of the room, between the next to the Golden C. It is a body-hugging traditional Chinese dress (usually red), very popular in China and the Asian countries. It is of Manchu origin. Also called Mandarin Gown during the 1920s-1930s in Western Countries. It was used as the attire of Corona-chan.

Trivia[]

The first version of storage room had only one storage room, located behind the third door to the left in the first version of the gym. It appeared well furnished but many props had no collision masks, rendering Ayano Aishi capable of walking through them. It contained the instrument case used for kidnapping. This no longer present in the game.
The second appear had small rooms with no windows, and a beige floor with grey trimming on the sides. Most rooms were completely empty, save for a few exceptions.
In an unknown build, Bijuu Mike's Scrub-chan and Markiplier's pink mustache were removed from the game.
The "Poem" easter egg was removed in Early 2024 due to the YandereDev controversy.
- Before it was removed, pressing the E key when prompted will scroll the protagonist through costumes that resemble the girls from the game Doki Doki Literature Club!. A HUD message will also appear informing the player of what character from the game the protagonist resembles. These models can be combined with other accessories.
The previous location of the Pipe Wrench used to be found in the first floor storage room.
