The Screwdriver is a concealable weapon in Yandere Simulator.
Gameplay[]
The screwdriver is found in the school's Workshop and in Ayano's backyard in the shed (only when bought in Buraza Town).
The screwdriver can also be brought to school by the protagonist by interacting with the door in her room and selecting the item. The screwdriver is not seen as suspicious and can be concealed in inventory, weapon bag or trash can.
If the protagonist performs a stealth or frontal kill with the screwdriver, the weapon and herself will become bloody, and the victim's blood will spill on the floor.
The protagonist can use the screwdriver in a struggle minigame against Heroic students and teachers. However, if they do not have a Physical Education rank of "1", the protagonist will immediately get apprehended by the teacher.
The screwdriver can be detected by metal detectors, but the security cameras will not record the protagonist holding the weapon as evidence.
The screwdriver can also be used to electrocute students, disable metal detectors, and tamper with various machines, such as a Vending Machine or a Power Strip. It is also used in Osana's special elimination method, Vent. The screwdriver is used to unscrew the barrier to the open fan before pulling on Osana's hair to the moving fan, causing her hair to get mangled in the machine and her head fully decapitated.
Screwdriver Animations[]
There are 4 killing animations for the screwdriver, depending on the protagonist's level of sanity.
- High Sanity: A swift stab to the right side of the victim's head.
- Medium Sanity: The victim tries to defend themselves, then gets stabbed in the right shoulder, then gets stabbed in the right side of the head.
- Low Sanity: She will grab the victim's neck and tackle them to the ground; the victim will try to defend themselves as they are stabbed in the head multiple times.
- Stealth Kill: She will cover the victim's mouth then will stab them in the head.
Trivia[]
- If the player changes their name difficulty to make small bladed weapons break after one use, it will apply directly to students. However, teachers are exempt from this change.
- This is likely due to the fact that the protagonist plunges the screwdriver through a teacher's belly to her stomach. Whereas the player is stabbing the screwdriver through a student's skull, breaking on impact due to how hard the skull is.
