In 1980s mode, Ryoba has 15 free tips called "ideas" in her notepad, providing basic information on elimination methods. Ryoba can also purchase additional tips on some of the game mechanics from Beni Yoshida, the Hairdresser, found in Buraza Town, each for $9.99. When Ryoba first meets Beni, she will offer a set of hair services, but after a couple of seconds, will recognize her as another killer and will instead offer advise on that.

Ideas[]

Tips Found in Ryoba's Notepad

I could attack a girl directly with a weapon. Simple enough. Simple enough.

This method would get blood on my clothing. I would need to go to the locker room, remove the clothing, take a shower, and change into another outfit.

I would also need to dispose of the blood-stained clothing and weapon. I could dump them into the incinerator, or a manhole.

Also, if I don't clean up all of the blood and dispose of the corpse, the police would definitely be called to school.

— Description of the "Attack" idea.

If I learn what my rival's biggest problem is, I could solve her problem and put her into my debt. Then, I could tell her to stay away from my Senpai.

To do this, I would need to follow the girl until she puts her bookbag in her classroom, then rummage around in her bookbag for her diary and read about her personal problems.

Then, I would need to do a Task for her to befriend her, leave a note in her locker to arrange a meeting somewhere private like the rooftop, and then tell her about the note.

Once on the rooftop, I would have to talk to her and agree to solve her problem for her. There's no telling what kind of problem she might have. I might have to go far from school to solve it for her.

— Description of both the "Befriend" and "Betray" idea.

Once I've solved her problem, I would invite her to my house and convince her to stay away from my Senpai...

— The first option, "Befriend".

Once I've solved her problem, I would invite her to my house, drug her tea, and tie her up in my basement...

— The second option, "Betray".

I could lower a girl's reputation until she's getting bullied so hard that she doesn't even want to come to school anymore.

To lower a girl's reputation, I would have to approach a student, talk to them, and use the "Gossip" option.

To successfully gossip, I would have to tell the student that the girl dislikes something that the student likes. For example, telling a member of the cooking club that my rival hates cooking.

If we imagine the girl's reputation as a number, I would have to put her reputation beneath "-100" in order to make her stop coming to school.

There must be ways to increase the strength of my gossip. Maybe I can go shopping and find something in town...

— Description of the "Bully" idea.

I could burn a girl to death using gasoline and an open flame, such as a candle or a Bunsen burner.

The woodchipper in the Gardening Club is fueled by gasoline. There is a canister of gas in the Gardening Club's shed. However, the shed is locked.

To unlock the shed, I could pickpocket the key from the leader of the Gardening Club, or I could craft a lockpick at a workbench using a hairpin and a paper clip.

To douse a girl in gasoline, I would need to pour the gas into a bucket and then place the bucket above a door that the girl is going to walk through.

If a girl is drenched in gasoline, she will burst into flames if she touches an open flame, such as a candle.

There are candles in the Occult Club, and a Bunsen burner in the Science Lab. I could use one of those to light the girl on fire... but if I am witnessed while doing this, then everyone would know I am a killer.

After being soaked in gasoline, the girl will run to the shower building to wash up. Maybe I could place a candle in the girl's path as she runs to the shower building to light her on fire without having to come into direct contact with her.

— Description of the "Burn" idea.

I could drop a heavy object on a girl and crush her to death.

First, I would need to locate a pipe wrench in the pump room under the school pool.

Then, I would need to bring the wrench to the northeast corner of the school rooftop and leave it there.

(Carrying a pipe wrench might make me look very suspicious, so it would be wise to conceal the pipe wrench inside of my bookbag while I'm transporting it around school.)

After that, I would put a note in a girl's locker instructing her to meet me at the outdoor caferia, and then tell her to go check her locker for the note.

(Of course, I'll probably have to befriend the girl by doing a task for her - and raise my reputation until she thinks I'm trustworthy - before she'll be willing to visit her locker at my request.)

Once the girl is standing in position at the outdoor cafeteria, I would use the pipe wrench to disconnect the air conditioner unit from the school rooftop to make it fall onto the girl, resulting in her death.

— Description of the "Crush" idea.

I could drown a girl to death.

There are multiple places where I could drown a girl, such as the plaza fountain, or a toilet.

To drown a girl in the plaza, I would have to put a note in her locker, tell her to meet me at the fountain, and then drown her when she's vulnerable.

To drown a girl in a toilet, I would have to obtain some emetic poison, which is a type of poison that makes people vomit.

One example of emetic poison is rat poison. I could find some in the school's gardening shed, bring some from home, or maybe craft my own at a workbench.

Once I have emetic poison, I would need to wait until the girl is eating, distract her away from her food, and then put emetic poison in her food.

After she eats the poisoned food, she will run to a toilet to puke. Once she's in a toilet stall, that would be my opportunity to drown her.

— Description of the "Drown" idea.

I could electrocute a girl to death.

There are many ways to do this, but all of them would involve creating a puddle of water and using a source of electricity to put a lethal electric current into the water.

Making a puddle is the easy part. I could fill a bucket with water and then dump the water somewhere, or fill a water cooler with water and then create a tripwire trap so that all of the water sprays out.

I might be able to find a car battery somewhere in school. If I do, then I could simply toss it into a puddle of water in order to electrocute someone. I shouldn't let anyone spot me do this, though.

I could also create a puddle of water a drinking fountain or a bathroom sink by sabotaging it using a wrench. I could also cause a power strip to electrify a puddle of water by using a screwdriver.

If I find a wrench in the pump room underneath the school pool, I could use it to loosen the pipes underneath a drinking fountain to create a puddle of water.

If I find a power strip in the school's A/V room, I could plug it into a wall socket next to a drinking fountain, and then sabotage it with a screwdriver to expose the power strip's wires.

After that, if I flip the light switch next to the drinking fountain, the puddle should be electrified. It could kill me if I step into it, though, so I'll have to be extra careful!

If I buy a bag of salty food from a vending machine, I could give it to a girl to make her thirsty. She would go get a drink from the nearest drinking fountain.

I'll need to be very careful about exactly when and I where I give a girl a snack in order to make her go to the drinking fountain that I would prefer...

— Description of the "Electrocute" idea.

I could get a girl expelled from school.

I would need to frame the girl for breaking the school's rules and report her to the guidance counselor. I would need to do this once a day for five days in a row.

To frame the girl, I would need to put banned materials into the bookbag at her desk. For example, I could steal an answer sheet from the faculty room and put it into her bookbag, then report her for cheating.

If I put stolen property in my rival's bookbag, I could report her for theft. I could steal a key from the headmaster's office, steal a key from the leader of the gardening club, steal an ID card from the faculty room, or steal cooking utensils from the Cooking Club.

A student could also get in trouble for having cigarettes, alcohol, or condoms in their bookbag. I could get those things from a convenience store, but I'd need a fake ID to make those purchases.

One of the students at this school - a delinquent named Togo Atatsuma - is rumored to have a brother with criminal connections. If I help Togo, maybe his brother will hook me up with a fake ID...

— Description of the "Expel" idea.

I could get a girl framed for murder.

I would need to get the girl's fingerprints on a weapon, commit murder with that weapon without getting my own fingerprints on it, and then make sure that the weapon is discovered by the police.

I could drop an object like a screwdriver on the ground so that my rival sees it and picks it up to return it where it belongs, which would result in her fingerprints getting onto the screwdriver. Alternatively...

I would need to join the Drama Club to get a pair of gloves, and wear them. Then, I would need to find a box cutter and a roll of duct tape in the Art Club.

After that, I would need to find a cardboard box in the incinerator area and tape it shut with the duct tape. Then, I would need to stick the box cutter into the box.

At that point, I would need to ask the girl to remove the box cutter from the box for me. Then, while still wearing gloves, I would need to commit murder with that box cutter, and drop the weapon somewhere.

Finally, it would be a simple matter of disposing of my bloody clothing and waiting for the blood-stained weapon to be discovered. When the police arrive at school, they should arrest the girl.

— Description of the "Frame" idea.

I could kidnap a girl and keep her prisoner inside of my basement.

First, I would need to raise my Biology stat until I learn where to inject a syringe in order to knock someone out. Then, I would need to obtain a sedative.

I could purchase a sedative from the convenience store in town. Alternatively, there is a sedative inside the cabinet in the nurse's office... but I would need a lockpick in order to open it.

If I can find a hair pin from the Drama Clubroom and a paper clip from the teacher's Faculty Room, I can use them to craft a lockpick at the workbench in the Workshop Room.

After I have biology knowledge and a sedative, I would need to obtain a syringe from the school Infirmary. Then, I would have to befriend my target by doing a Task for them.

Once the Task is complete, I could ask the girl to follow me. Then I could lead her to the musical instrument case in the gym, close the door, knock her out, and put her in the case.

After that is done, I would return to the school at night to retrieve the case and bring the girl back to my house.

— Description of the "Kidnap" idea.

I could set up a girl with another boy in order to keep her away from my Senpai.

First, I would need to find out what kind of boys the girl is interested in. I could probably learn this information by looking through the bookbag in her class.

Then, I would need to look for a boy who is interested in the girl; enough to change himself for her. If a boy is following her around everywhere she goes, he probably has a big crush on her.

After that, I would need to befriend the girl, befriend the boy, and give the boy tips on how to impress the girl. Then, I would need to tell them to talk to one another in a romantic spot.

If I do this enough times, then eventually, the girl should fall in love with the boy. I'm sure there are ways to improve the romantic advice I give to the boy.

If I go shopping in town and check all of the stores, I'm sure there is something I could buy that would improve the effectiveness of my romantic advice...

— Description of the "Matchmake" idea.

If I kidnap a girl, I could mind-break her and then command her to kill my rival.

First, I would need to kidnap a girl. Then, I would need to psychologically torture her every night in my basement.

Eventually, her sanity should reach 0%. When that happens, I could take her to school, then give her a weapon and command her to kill my rival.

— Description of the "Murder-Suicide" idea.

I could poison a girl.

First, I would need to find some lethal poison. If I study Chemistry in class for several days, I should gain the ability to identify which substances stored in the Science Lab are lethal.

Alternatively, if I study Chemistry enough, I might be able to craft lethal poison in the Science Lab, as long as I have the right ingredients.

Either way - once I have the poison, I would need to put it into the girl's bento box so that she'll eat the poison at lunchtime. I should be able to find her bento in her bookbag.

Alternatively, I could wait until the girl is eating, and distract her attention away from her food so that I could poison it when she's not looking.

After that, I would simply need to wait until she ingests the poison and dies.

— Description of the "Poison" idea.

I could push a girl off the school roof.

I would have to put a note in her locker and arrange a meeting on the school roof.

Then, I would simply have to push her off the roof.

— Description of the "Push" idea.

I could convince my Senpai to reject the girl's love confession on Friday.

I would need to stalk Senpai and the girl every day, and look for opportunities to ruin her interactions with him. If I sabotage 5 of their interactions, I bet I could make him hate her.

Each interaction will be different. I'll have to pay close attention to clues in order to figure out what the right course of action will be for each interaction.

— Description of the "Reject" idea.

I could ruin a girl's reputation so badly that she takes her own life out of shame and humiliation.

This would be the same as the Bully method, but with one crucial difference...

If we imagine the girl's reputation as a number, I would have to put her reputation beneath "150" in order to cause her enough despair to make her take her own life.

— Description of the "Suicide" idea.

Purchasable Tips[]

Tips Provided By Beni Yoshida

Don't you just hate it when you kill someone, and they bleed all over the place, and then you have to spend forever cleaning up all the blood? Ugh! It's my least favorite part!

But, hun, are you still doing it with a mop and a broom? That's so old-fashioned! You know there's a better way, right? Just use a blowtorch to cauterize the wound!

You do know that word, right? Cauterize—it basically means that you use extreme heat to seal a wound shut. It stops the bleeding!

Oh, but where can you find a blowtorch at a school? Well, if there's a science club, check it out. They might have a blowtorch you can borrow!

— Description of "Cauterizing Wounds" provided by Beni Yoshida.

Hun, you're not simply burning all of your murder weapons in the school incinerator, right? That would be such a waste!

If you bring a blood-stained weapon to a drinking fountain, you can wash off all the blood, and it'll be as good as new!

Once the weapon is washed clean, nobody will ever be able to tell that it was used for a crime!

Certain objects at school will be replaced if they are destroyed, but other objects will permanently vanish if you incinerate them. Think carefully about whether or not you really want to burn things!

— Description of "Cleaning Weapons At Drinking Fountains" provided by Beni Yoshida.

Hun, please don't tell me that you always try to dispose of someone's corpse immediately after you've killed them. There's a smarter way to do things!

Whenever you've got a corpse that you need to dispose of, but there are too many witnesses around to do it safely, just stuff the corpse into a locker and deal with it later!

The best time to dispose of corpses might be from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM, since that's when many students will have already left school. You'll practically have the whole place all to yourself!

Of course, if disposing of the corpse immediately is the smartest option, then go ahead and do it. The best course of action will probably change on a case-by-case basis.

— Description of "Hiding Bodies" provided by Beni Yoshida.

When your clothing is splattered with blood, you might want to run straight to the locker room to shower and change into a new outfit. However, there is another solution you should consider!

In your school's chemistry lab, there should be an "Emergency Shower" that is used for quickly washing off dangerous chemicals.

If you approach the shower while holding some spare clothing that you'd like to change into, you could just shower and change right on the spot, instead of using the locker room!

Your school has a science club, right? If it's chemistry-focused, they might have an emergency shower, too. But you might have to join their club before they'd let you use it...

— Description of "Emergency Showers" provided by Beni Yoshida.

I have a feeling you may already know a thing or two about this, dear, but just to be sure, I'll go over it with you.

You can write a note asking someone to meet you, and leave it in their locker. This way, you can lure them to a secluded spot, or a place that makes it very easy to kill them in a specific way.

If your school is anything like mine was, there should be a bulletin pinned to a column near the lockers. That bulletin should list every student and where to find their lockers.

To get someone to take your note seriously, you will have to write about a subject that they actually care about. For example, telling a heroic student you want to talk to them about justice.

— Description of "Notes In Locker" provided by Beni Yoshida.

A student's personality - or "Persona" for short - will determine the way they react to murder.

A Coward will run straight out of school. A Hero will try to apprehend you. A Teacher's Pet will run and tell the faculty. A Snitch will run to the nearest telephone and call the police.

If the student has a camera, they might think fast and decide to snap an incriminating photo of you, then run out of school and show that photo to the police!

And, if a girl is in love with a specific boy, she'll respond to murder by running straight to the boy she loves and telling him what she saw!

— Description of "Student Personas" provided by Beni Yoshida.

You should be able to find a raincoat somewhere at school. Wearing it would bring you several advantages! ...and one downside.

The advantages are great! The coat should prevent your clothing from becoming bloody, and the gloves would prevent your fingerprints from getting on your murder weapons!

However, the downside is that you will look extremely suspicious walking around school in a raincoat. It would definitely damage your reputation if you were spotted.

Is it worth the risk? Would it apply in certain situations? I'll let you be the judge.

— Description of "Raincoat Advice" provided by Beni Yoshida.

This might come as a surprise to you, but I actually learned a lot from reading manga.

If you read a romance manga, you'll learn how to become more seductive. Read enough manga and you can ask favors from boys - and even girls - without having to befriend them first.

When you do something that gets your blood pumping - like, for example, murder - it's difficult to contain your emotions. It'll definitely show on your face; you will look less "Sane."

If you read enough horror manga, you can make yourself become "numb" to blood and gore. This means that you won't "lose your sanity" as quickly after you've performed a violent act.

— Description of "The Benefits Of Manga" provided by Beni Yoshida.

I never killed in the same place twice...but, hun, you have to do all your business in your school, don't you? That could make things difficult. I'll explain:

If the students at your school begin to suspect that there is a killer on the loose, they will become much more perceptive, and will notice any suspicious behavior way faster.

If you're leaving corpses, pools of blood, and blood-stained weapons lying all over the place, the atmosphere at your school will quickly drop, and the students will get paranoid fast.

After you've killed someone, make sure to clean up after yourself, or else you're really going to make things difficult for yourself in the future!

— Description of "School Atmosphere" provided by Beni Yoshida.
