Sakyu Basu is one of the female students that currently attends Akademi High School.

Appearance

She cute too Sakyu wears the default female school uniform, unless customized by the player.

She has long, purple hair with bangs parted to the right. She also has yellow catlike contact lenses, lavender and red eyeshadow and hot pink lipstick. Sakyu has a mole on the left side of her chin. Her bust size is 1.5. She also wears a golden ring with three pink jewels.

Personality

Among the personas currently implemented in the game, she is a Social Butterfly. She will happily pose for a picture if Yandere-chan aims their camera at her. If she sees a corpse or witnesses a murder, she will run to the nearest crowd and call the police. She cannot participate in physical fights against murderers, unless they kill her sister. If Inkyu is killed without Sakyu witnessing it, she will take on the Fragile persona.

She is knowledgeable, serious, and a "tsukkomi".^[1]

Routine

At 7:05 AM, Sakyu enters the school grounds. She walks to her locker at 7:10 AM and changes from her outdoor shoes to her indoor shoes. At 7:15 AM, she walks to the rooftop and gossips with Inkyu Basu. Oka Ruto stalks both sisters the entire time.

At 8:00 AM, Sakyu walks into Classroom 2-2 and sits at her desk. She starts her morning classes at 8:30 AM, and leaves to go eat lunch with her sister on the bench at 1:10 PM. She will take off her ring, which the player can steal.

Sakyu walks back to class again at 1:30 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. She then heads to her locker and changes from her indoor shoes to her outdoor shoes, then she lingers there until 3:50 PM, when she walks home. In the future, every day, Inkyu will ask her older sister a question, and Sakyu will respond with an answer. They will also comment on deaths, disappearances, atmosphere, school rules, and some lore.^[1] If Inkyu was ever killed, she will mourn her sister's death instead of gossiping on the rooftop.

Inkyu Basu

Inkyu Basu is currently Sakyu's younger twin sister. In the future they may be changed to half-sisters.^[2]

They enjoy spending time together, as said in Sakyu's Student Profile. Inkyu often asks Sakyu questions regarding the lore of Akademi High and about any recent news.

As they are very close, if the player kills Inkyu in front of Sakyu, she will attack the player with much more force than she's usually capable of. If her sister disappears or is murdered, Sakyu will mourn her on the rooftop.

Oka Ruto

Sakyu and her sister are stalked daily by Oka, in a futile search for evidence that they are supernatural beings: Sakyu Basu, a succubus, and her sister, Inkyu Basu, a vampire.

Trivia

She was implemented as of the November 15, 2015 Build.
If she had a voice in-game, she would sound serious and mature.^[3]
- As of the May 5th, 2016 Build, she now has a voiced, in-game dialogue when her ring goes missing.
She wears cosmetic contact lenses. YandereDev established this in the additional info section so that people wouldn't think that Sakyu is a cat monster in human form.^[4]
According to her Student Profile, she is rumored to be a succubus who is disguised as a high school student.
Her model is shared by Himedere-chan, Dracula-chan and the Lust Demon.
Her name is a play on the Japanese Katakana transcription of the word "succubus", Sakyubasu (サキュバス).
In the future, if her sister dies, she might switch to the sleuth persona.^[5]
Her character model (along with Inkyu Basu's model) can be bought in Unity 3D Asset Store. The pack's name is Succubus Twins Character Pack. Her model's name is Arum.
The Basu sisters will probably not join any clubs.^[6]
YandereDev is considering making she and Inkyu half-sisters.^[7]
Sakyu now asks how old the sakura trees are on the Internet instead of Senpai.
