Changes: Saki Miyu

Saki Miyu is one of the female students that currently attends Akademi High School.

Appearance

Saki Miyu wears the default female school uniform unless customized by the player. Her eyes are cyan. She has fair skin and the second largest bust size in the game, at 1.7. Her hair is cyan; it is styled into long, thick, twintails that spiral at the end, straight-cut bangs, and layered face-framing locks. As a member of the Cooking Club, she wears a purple kerchief and a matching purple polka-dotted apron; she also wears a cyan friendship bracelet on her right wrist. If the Cooking Club is disbanded, Saki will remove her kerchief and apron for the rest of the game.

History

From her implementation in the March 1st, 2015 Build until the February 8th, 2016 Build, Saki had light cyan eyes and cyan twintails that YandereDev created using the model for Ayano's ponytail.

From the February 8th, 2016 Build until the March 1st, 2017 Build, Saki had dark cyan hair with short bangs swept to the right and slightly bent locks framing her face; the rest of her hair was left parted and tied up in twintails that ended in spirals.

In the January 16th, 2017 Build, friendship bracelets were added to the right wrists of the Rainbow Six girls. Saki's is cyan.

From the February 2nd, 2017 Build to the August 18th, 2018 Build, Saki wore cyan stockings and panties.

From the March 1st, 2017 Build to the August 18th, 2018 Build, Saki had thick cyan twintails ending in spirals held by two bright cyan bands, short bangs swept to the right, straight locks framing her face, and a small ahoge at her part.

From the March 18th, 2017 Build to the August 18th, 2018 Build, her eyes were a brighter shade of cyan.

From the August 18th, 2018 Build to the December 3rd, 2018 Build, Saki's hair returned to thinner spiral twintails reminiscent of her 2016-2017 hair; however, her face-framing locks were shortened and curled at the ends, her bangs were brushed straight forward and not parted, and the shade was made slightly more green. A purple Cooking Club kerchief was also added, along with a light pink polka-dotted apron. Her cyan-colored stockings, panties, and friendship bracelet were removed.

As of the August 22nd, 2018 Build, Saki's cyan friendship bracelet was restored.

As of the December 2nd, 2018 Build, Saki's apron is a polka-dotted purple that matches her kerchief.

As of the December 3, 2018 Build, Saki's hair has been changed to her current style: thicker, more textured, spiral twintails that are a darker shade of cyan. Her bangs are straighter cut and her framing locks are more layered; her kerchief is also slightly lighter and her facial details were changed to give the appearance of blush and lipstick.

From the January 17, 2019 Build to the February 1st, 2019 Build, Saki's eyes and eyelashes were a noticeably brighter and more vibrant cyan.

As of the February 1st, 2019 Build, Saki's eyes and eyelashes have been reverted to a darker, more subtle, cyan.

Personality

Among the personas currently implemented in the game, Saki is a Social Butterfly. She will happily pose for a picture if the player aims their camera at her. If she sees a corpse or witnesses a murder, she will run to the nearest secluded area and call the police. She cannot participate in physical fights against murderers, unless they kill Kokona Haruka.

She loves sweets, candy, and desserts. She never gets fat, no matter how much junk food she eats.

During lunch at the rooftop on Monday, Saki will talk with Kokona Haruka about what she assumes is domestic abuse from Kokona's father. Saki is presumably compassionate and an understanding friend and will only show concern for Kokona.

If Saki hears or reads about Kokona's compensated dating, she will be surprised. She has never shown to be caring for Kokona when she gets bullied, so it's possible that Saki isn't the greatest friend. YandereDev might add comforting animations towards Kokona, but there may be a limit: if Kokona's reputation is bad enough, Saki's may go down too and she would have to avoid Kokona.^[2]

Routine

At 7:05 AM, Saki enters the school grounds. She walks to her locker at 7:10 AM and changes from her outdoor shoes to her indoor shoes. At 7:15 AM, she walks to the Cooking Club and prepares food with the rest of the members there. She then travels around the school to give the food to various students.

At 8:00 AM, Saki walks into Classroom 1-1 and sits at her desk. She starts her morning classes at 8:30 AM, and leaves the classroom at 1:00 PM. On Monday, she goes to the rooftop to talk with Kokona about Kokona's family issues. On all other days, she eats lunch with the rest of the members of the Cooking Club

Saki walks back to class again at 1:30 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. Afterward, she heads to the Cooking Club and stays there until the end of the day. If Ayano joins in club activities, she will prepare a meal from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

If the Cooking Club is disbanded, she will socialize with the other former members outside of the club during periods in which she would normally attend it (7:15 AM, and 3:30 PM).

Task

Saki's task is to find her bra. Her bra has been near the Confession Tree against the fence, both before and after the November 15th, 2015 Build. Once the player collects and brings it back to her, Saki will be very happy and will become Ayano's friend.

Background

Due to Kokona's family debt, Saki tried to help them make money. She attempted to sell her underwear to boys. At one point, she tried to sell her bra, but could not go through with it and threw it over the fence, hence why the player has to retrieve it for her.

Relationships

Kokona Haruka

According to her Student Profile, Kokona Haruka is Saki's best friend and closest confidant. Kokona is willing to discuss personal matters with her, such as during the rooftop conversation about her family problems on Monday.

Saki's hairstyle before the February 8th, 2016 Build was changed because YandereDev thought that her previous hairstyle was "low budget" and "amateurish".^[3]
Her name is a reference to the most popular female Japanese names in 2012, the ninth most popular being Saki and tenth most popular being Miyu.^[4]^[5]
When YandereDev was struggling to find hairstyles that he could create by duplicating and changing the size of a ponytail, the last idea that he came up with was "two long twin tails". He made them cyan because they reminded him of Hatsune Miku.^[6] Because Saki's design has changed, she does not resemble the Vocaloid anymore aside from color (And style, if you’re talking about Miku’s hair in “World is Mine”).
Saki's hairstyle was originally purple instead of cyan. However, YandereDev switched her hair color with Kokona so she will have cyan twintails.^[7]
In older versions of the game, Saki Miyu's name was Azu Naka^[8]. This placeholder name was inspired by Azusa Nakano from K-ON.^[9]
Her male counterpart was Sora Sosuke.
Saki makes a small cameo in the Gaming Club by appearing in the racing game, racing against Kokona.
Before the June 29th, 2016 Build, Saki used to arrive on school grounds 6th inline on the right side, at 7:05 AM.
Saki was the first student to have a task and that Ayano could complete in order to befriend a student.
Saki and Mei Mio are currently tied for the greatest number of hair changes, with seven styles each. Since Mei's removal, Saki holds the record for most hairstyles of a student currently in the game.
Saki’s current hairstyle has a silhouette of her hairstyle back in 2015 according to YandereDev.
