The protagonist and all characters present at school have a unique reputation that can be affected by various factors over the course of the gameplay. If a student's reputation drops too low, they will get bullied, and eventually may have to leave the school or commit suicide. If the protagonist's reputation drops too low, the rumors will reach her Senpai, causing a Game Over; however, she can also raise her reputation to get certain benefits.

The protagonist's reputation is updated three times a day; after first class period, second class period, and when she leaves school, as the witnesses spread the rumors among their friends and classmates.[1] A student's reputation meter in their profile is updated each time their reputation changes, however, the effects will be applied only the next day. Additionally, all students have a "reputation graph" that shows how much a certain student is liked, respected, and feared, but it is static and isn't affected by the gossip.

The protagonist will start the game with a neutral reputation, which gives no advantages, but no significant disadvantages either. However, the rivals will refuse to give her their tasks and any favors until she reaches a certain reputation, and she won't be able to join the delinquents gang unless her reputation is low enough. Having a good reputation boosts the effect of the protagonist's gossip, and her reputation will fall by less if she is seen doing suspicious actions. If the protagonist has a negative reputation, students will not offer her tasks or accept her gossip.

In Mission Mode, reputation is replaced with "awareness" bar. If it goes higher than 100 points, the protagonist's cover will be blown, and the mission will be over. Additionally, if the player enables "no suspicious behavior" in Mission Mode or as a save file challenge, the game will be over as soon as the protagonist's reputation is damaged.

Raising Reputation[]

The protagonist can raise her reputation the following ways:

  • Socializing.
    • By default, this will increase reputation by 1 - 7 points per successful interaction, depending on the bonuses she has.
  • Offering food.
  • Completing tasks.
    • Completing a student's task will give 1 point.
  • Playing Light Music Club rhythm mini game.
    • The protagonist can join the club to play with the rest of the band. The amount of reputation gained varies depending on the player's performance; the maximum amount is 100 points.
  • Writing a newspaper.
    • In 1980s Mode, Ryoba can join the Newspaper Club to write a newspaper that will increase her reputation. The amount of reputation it will give depends on her language stat.
  • Using Info-chan's services.
    • In 202X mode, Ayano can request Info-chan to raise her reputation by 5 points for 5 Info Points.

Lowering Reputation[]

The protagonist's reputation can be damaged if another student witnesses her suspicious, weird, or obnoxious behavior. It doesn't apply to the delinquents, as they don't gossip with other students, and student council members, as they will send her to a guidance counselor instead, and Senpai, as it will cause a Game Over. Masks can hide the protagonist identity, so her reputation won't be damaged.

  • Socializing.
    • Picking wrong options causes the protagonist reputation to drop for 1 point.
  • Gossiping.
    • Regardless of the success, the protagonist's reputation might be damaged as well. If a student hates gossip, the protagonist's reputation will drop by 2 points. If the student is neutral towards it will drop by 1 point, and won't drop at all if they like it.
  • Suspicious or weird behavior.
    • Suspicious behavior includes being visibly armed, insane or laughing insanely, covered in blood, crouching, fighting with a delinquent, and carrying a suspicious item.
    • It decreases reputation by 10 points if School Atmosphere is high, 15 points if it's medium, and 20 points if it's low. If the person who sees you is a bully, the damage to your reputation will be twice as much, if the School Atmosphere is high, your reputation decreases by 20 points, 30 points if it's medium, and 40 points if it's low. In addition, reputation will decrease more if the player is seen committing more than one suspicious action at the same time, specifically by 10-30 points with a high atmosphere (20-60 points if seen by a bully) and 20-60 points if low (40-120 points if seen by a bully).
    • If the protagonist is caught aiming obviously, her reputation will decrease by 11 points at high school atmosphere, 13.1 points if medium, and 17.3 points if low. If she is caught throwing Stink Bombs or Bang Snaps, her reputation will decrease by 20 points.
    • If the protagonist has seduction level 3 or higher, it will decrease her reputation by 8 points, 13 points, and 18 points accordingly.
    • If the student council or faculty member witness that, they will send her to a guidance counselor.
  • Obnoxious behavior.
    • If the protagonist stands too close to a student for more than 5 seconds, her reputation will drop by 1 point during high school atmosphere, 1.2 points during medium, and 2 points if it's low.
    • Continuously giggling at the presence of a student will cause her reputation to drop by the same amount as for suspicious behavior.
    • Aiming a camera at a student for a long time will cause her reputation to drop by 2 points regardless of the school atmosphere.
  • Taking Panty Shots, Pickpocketing, or wearing weird clothing.
    • Decreases reputation by 10 points regardless of the school atmosphere.
  • Leaving a witness alive.
    • Depending on their persona, a witness of a murder may start to spread gossip, which will cause Ayano's reputation to drop by 10 points every subsequent day that witness is alive. Killing them is the only way to salvage reputation, as that will return her reputation to its previous amount.
  • Skipping school.
    • When torturing someone for twelve or eighteen hours, the protagonist's reputation will drop by 20 points. Simply skipping school using a prompt near her bed will make it drop only by 10 points.

Students' Reputation[]

Main article: Gossip

If a student's reputation drops below -33 points, they will start to get bullied. If it drops below -100 points, they will stop to school, and a rival will not try to confess to Senpai anymore. If it drops below -150 points, they will commit suicide. This doesn't apply to the student council and delinquents, as they don't care about it.

The player can access a student's reputation in their profile. The protagonist cannot intentionally raise their reputation, but she can damage it using the following methods:

  • Gossip.
    • The amount of damage to the protagonist's and student's reputation depends on several different factors, such as the bonuses, the topic, and with whom the protagonist is trying to gossip.
  • Writing an article.
    • Ryoba can join a Newspaper Club to write an article that damages her rival's reputation. However, she cannot write an article that would damage any other student's reputation.
  • Using Kaobook.
    • If Ayano knows her rival's embarrassing secret, she can post it on the internet and damage her reputation by 50 points, If what the player posts is true, they will lose 10 points. However, posting false information will damage 20 points to the player.
  • Using Info-chan's service.
    • Ayano can request to damage her rival's reputation by 5 points for 5 Info-points.
