Raizo Morioka (a.k.a Study-Kun B) is one of the male students who attended Akademi in 1980s Mode.
Appearance[]
Current[]
Raizo has green shoulder-length hair with a parted fringe and green eyes.
He wears the default 1980s uniform with a green scarf.
Previous[]
Before the October 21st, 2024 build, he had short, gray hair. His bangs were parted slightly to the left and frayed and puffed out around his face. He had gray eyes.
Personality[]

A cartoonist who likes to make people laugh with silly drawings and comics. Currently working on a manga, but refuses to let anyone see it before it is complete. Frequently seen studying inside the school library, which earned him the nickname "Study-Kun B."
Among the Personas that are currently implemented in the game, Raizo is a Snitch. If he sees a corpse or witnesses a murder, he will run to the landline phone in the Faculty Room and call the Police. He cannot participate in physical fights against murderers unless he directly witnesses Ryoba murdering or holding the corpse of Nagaharu Kurudo.
Gameplay[]
Along with Nagaharu Kurudo, Raizo existed for the purpose of testing the Matchmaking elimination method. He intended to mimic the conditions that will be present in the final game, in which there will be enough students at school for the player to reliably determine what their rival is attracted to.[2]
Raizo was Implemented in the September 22nd, 2016 Build along with Nagaharu.
If Ayano got Kokona Haruka to follow her around the school and brought her near Raizo, she would look at him and blush, showing that she was attracted to a trait he possessed. Through the process of elimination, the player can discover that the trait Kokona is attracted to is Wisdom.
Ayano was unable to interact with him, and Info-chan didn't recognize pictures of his face.
In the January 1st, 2019 Build, Raizo and Nagaharu were removed from the game, but both were later re-added in 1980s Mode.

At 7:00 AM, Raizo enters the school grounds with the other Art Club members. He walks to his locker at 7:05 AM and changes from his outdoor shoes to his indoor shoes. At 7:15 AM, he walks to the Art Club on the Second Floor and sketches a small statue outside the club.
At 8:00 AM, he walks to Classroom 2-1 and sits at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM and leaves to eat his lunch outside the Art Club at 1:00 PM.
He walks back to class at 1:30 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. Afterwards, he heads to the Art Club and stays there until the end of the day. On Friday afternoons, he and the other Art Club members will gather behind the cherry tree to paint something related to it.
If the Art Club is disbanded, he will still sketch the statue.
Week 2[]

Raizo will quickly rush to his locker and change his shoes at 7:00 AM. Afterwards, he heads to the third floor to sit down and read.
At 8:15 AM, Raizo will run to Classroom 2-1 and sit at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. He leaves to eat his lunch next to the doors that lead to the Rooftop at 1:00 PM.
He runs back to class at 1:28 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will go outside and read by the back entrance on the west side of the school until the end of the day.
On Thursday, he will not participate in cleaning time and will instead read until the end of the day.
On Friday, he will instead follow his normal routine.
Week 3[]
Raizo will quickly rush to his locker and change his shoes at 7:00 AM. He then goes outside to read by the Boys' Shower Room.
At 8:15 AM, Raizo will run to Classroom 2-1 and sit at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. He leaves to eat his lunch on the rooftop at 1:00 PM.
He runs back to class at 1:28 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will read outside the Cooking Club until the end of the day.
On Thursday, he will not participate in cleaning time and will instead read until the end of the day.
On Friday, he will instead follow his normal routine.
Week 4[]

He runs back to class at 1:28 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will read outside Classroom 1-1 until the end of the day.
On Thursday, he will not participate in cleaning time and will instead read until the end of the day.
On Friday, he will instead read outside the Biology Lab, and then outside the Workshop.

At 8:15 AM, Raizo will run to Classroom 2-1 and sit at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. He leaves to eat his lunch by the Student Council Room until 1:00 PM.
He runs back to class at 1:28 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will read outside the Meeting Room until the end of the day.
On Thursday, he will not participate in cleaning time and will instead read until the end of the day.

At 8:15 AM, Raizo will run to Classroom 2-1 and sit at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. He leaves to eat his lunch by Classroom 3-1 at 1:00 PM.
He runs back to class at 1:28 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will head outside to read between the Gymnasium and the girls' shower room until the end of the day.
On Thursday, he will not participate in cleaning time and will instead read until the end of the day.

At 8:15 AM, Raizo will run to Classroom 2-1 and sit at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. He leaves to eat his lunch on the rooftop at 1:00 PM.
He runs back to class at 1:28 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he heads downstairs to read by Classroom 1-1 until the end of the day.

Nagaharu Kurudo[]
- Main article: Nagaharu Kurudo
YandereDev imagines that after they graduated, Raizo and Nagaharu fell in love and started dating.[3] As of January 15th, 2025 build, if Raizo sees Nagaharu being murdered by Ryoba, he will run up to Ryoba and attempt to apprehend her, even though he is incapable of self-defense.

- He was originally implemented in the September 22nd, 2016 build of the game to test the matchmaking feature. removed in the January 1st, 2019 Build, and was re-implemented in the October 10th, 2021 Build (a.k.a 1980s Mode).
- The "rai" part of his name, Raizō, can be written as "thunder" (雷), "trust, request" (頼), or "come, due, next" (来). The "zō" part can be written as "three" (三), "possession, ownership" (蔵), or "create, structure, physique" (造).
- The "mori" part of his surname, Morioka, can be written as "forest" (森) or "guard, protect" (守), while "-oka" (岡) is a suffix in Japanese surnames which means "hill".
- Raizo was given Iwao Satoh's appearance and identity in the 1980s Revamp update.
- YandereDev imagines that Raizo and Nagaharu fell in love and started a relationship after graduation. He had this thought since they were first added to the game. [4]
- YandereDev gave a nod to their relationship with their matching scarves as seen in-game.
- Raizo is one of the fourth characters confirmed to be LGBTQ+ in the game; the other three being Akari Komiyaku, Info-Chan, and Nagaharu Kurudo.
