PoolClosedSignFebruary14th2021

The sign. February 14th, 2021 Build.

The Pool Sign is an important item in Yandere Simulator.

Gameplay and Usage[]

This sign can be used to close off the pool to prevent certain students such as the bullies from accessing it. Putting the sign at the top of the stairs will let students know that the pool is off-limits. However, the sign can only be placed before lunchtime. If you place it after lunchtime, it will be too late for the news of the closed pool to reach anyone and thus it won't affect any of the students' routines. The bullies will not sunbathe if the pool is off-limits and will eat lunch instead. The Sports Club will jog instead of swim for their after-school club activity if the pool is off-limits as well.

Carrying the pool sign in front of students will cause them to become suspicious of Ayano, and will damage her reputation afterward.

In 1980s Mode, the pool sign functions in the same way. However, it will not deter Ritsuko Chikanari from sunbathing by the pool due to her willingness to do whatever she wants, even if the sign is telling her not to, as a result of her selfish, spoiled attitude.

Trivia[]

  • The idea of the "Pool's Closed" sign was originally added to make it possible to poison the bullies in Mission Mode which was impossible before due to them sunbathing at lunchtime.
    • In the future, YandereDev might expand the sign feature so that it's possible to close off any arbitrary area in the school, such as the gym. It is currently only possible to close off the pool.
  • The characters on the sign are Kuroko Kamenaga and Reiichi Tanaami (202X Mode and 1980s Mode respectively).
  • As of February 19th, 2021 Build, the sign was moved to the Pump Room.
  • The sign is likely based off a meme.
