This announcement will be kept on her page for an undefined amount of time.

Mrs. Saikou is the mother of Megami Saikou and Kencho Saikou, and the current matriarch of Saikou Family.

Appearance

Mrs. Saikou looks a lot like her daughter. She has calf-length silver-blue hair with bangs similar to Megami's and eyes the same color as her hair.

She wears a long sleeveless dress that is black on the exterior and red on the interior. Her dress has cutouts exposing her legs, chest, and waist. She wears a gold pendant with an aquamarine charm and black heels. All of this goes to show that her clothing is expensive and extravagant, corresponding with her status as the matriarch of the Saikou Corporation. Her dress is see-through, and it can be seen that she isn't wearing any undergarments.

Personality

There are few people whose lifelong ambition is to change the course of human history, and there are even fewer people who are actually capable of accomplishing such a lofty goal. The founder of the Saikou Corporation was one such person.
In the 74 years since it was first established, the Saikou Corporation has had an undeniable impact on the everyday lives of millions of people. There is not a single industry that has not been revolutionized by one of Saikou Corp's innovations, nor is there a single household that does not possess at least one Saikou Corp invention. There was no name that dominated the second half of the 1900s more than 'Saikou', and there is no one alive who would deny that Saikou Corp is the most successful conglomerate in human history.

A significant portion of Saikou Corp's success can be attributed to its founder's extremely strict hiring policies; he insisted on employing none other than the brightest minds in the world, even for the most menial positions in his company. In fact, he refused to hire a secretary for nearly a decade, because there was no one who could meet his astronomically high standards: an IQ above 140, multiple doctorates from a prestigious university, and prior experience as the CEO of a successful company. In addition to these criteria, he also insisted that his secretary was exceptionally attractive. 'Excellence' was never enough for him; only 'Perfection' would suffice, and so he refused to be represented by someone whose appearance could be described as anything less than ideal beauty. At the end of a decade-long search, he finally found someone who met his criteria and desired the position.

The founder of Saikou Corp took great care of his public image, as any damage to his reputation would directly impact the success of his company. He firmly believed that his social standing would be affected by the woman he chose to marry, and so he was determined to accept nothing less than the perfect woman for his wife. He refused to marry for many years, finding no woman to be worthy of him, until he eventually realized that his secretary was the only woman who could meet his criteria.

Even though his secretary was outwardly perfect, he would not even consider proposing marriage to her until he had confirmed that she was not carrying any invisible flaws that were going to manifest in the future. He went as far as to analyze her DNA and study her family's medical history to confirm that she was not likely to be in possession of any hereditary diseases that she could pass to her future children. He only made the decision to propose to her after confirming that she was as genetically 'perfect' as possible.

Perhaps one of the wisest decisions that the founder ever made was to hide the majority of his personal beliefs and political stances from the public; most people would have been shocked or even outraged at some of his most conservative opinions. He was firmly convinced that the human race should proactively improve the quality of its population by excluding certain 'inferior' genetic groups, and promoting other 'superior' genetic groups...but he knew that advocating for eugenics would annihilate his public image, so he kept this belief, along with many others, a closely-guarded secret.

After going through a great effort to ensure that his offspring were as genetically 'perfect' as possible, he was determined to prevent his children from ruining the gene pool that he had carefully cultivated. To this end, he insisted on selecting the woman that his son would marry. The process was identical to the one that he used to choose his original secretary, except now he was also carefully screening applicants for hereditary diseases, 'undesirable' genes, and so on. The number of women who wished to marry into the Saikou family was very high, but the number of valid candidates was extremely low. Eventually, however, he did find a woman who fulfilled his extremely specific criteria.

Before he would allow this woman to become a part of the Saikou bloodline, he insisted on hiring her as his secretary, so that he could judge her competence firsthand. After he was firmly convinced that this woman was worthy of bearing his grandchildren, he allowed - or, rather, commanded - his son to marry her.

This woman, once an extremely ambitious and driven entrepreneur, was the CEO of the only company that stood a chance of competing against Saikou Corp. However, after it became clear that her business would never be unable to outperform the invincible corporation, she made the decision to liquidate her company and find a different way to 'defeat' Saikou Corp. In her mind, becoming a permanent part of the Saikou family's legacy was the closest she would ever get to 'winning' against them, so she eagerly seized the opportunity to enter into an arranged marriage with the founder's son. By her logic, this made her 'victorious- in her competition with Saikou Corp, and she relishes her status as the family's matriarch.

Aside from the fact that she has given birth to two healthy children and that she is always seen decorating her husband's arm at high-class events for social elites, there is little else that the public knows about her personal life after marrying into the Saikou family.

— Description from Official Website.

On the website, Mrs. Saikou's personality is the same as her daughter, "Untouchable Goddess", implying that she shares most of her personality traits with Megami.

She's almost always very formal and business-like even outside of business situations and even with fellow family members.[3]

Relationships

Other Saikou Family Members

Her Father-In-Law
Main article: Saisho Saikou

Her father-in-law. Saisho insisted on selecting the woman that his son would marry. Eventually, he found his daughter-in-law, who fulfilled his extremely specific criteria. Before he allowed her to become a part of the Saikou bloodline, he insisted on hiring her as his secretary, so that he could judge her competence firsthand. Beside that, not much is known about their relationship.

Her Mother-In-Law
Main article: Saisho's Wife

Her mother-in-law. She was the Saikou family's matriarch before her. The process that Saisho used to choose both of them was identical, except with his daughter-in-law, he was also carefully screening applicants for hereditary diseases, "undesirable" genes, and so on. Beside sharing similar experience as the wife of Saikou Corp's CEO, not much is known about their relationship.

Her Sister-In-Law
Main article: Ichiko Saikou

Her sister-in-law. Ichiko left Japan over 10 years before her brother and sister-in-law got married, so it's likely that she never met the other in person, though she might have heard about her.

Family

Her Husband
Main article: Ichirou Saikou

Her husband. After Saisho was firmly convinced that his daughter-in-law was worthy of bearing his grandchildren, he commanded Ichirou to marry her. She considered becoming a permanent part of the Saikou family's legacy as the closest she would ever get to "winning" against them, so she eagerly seized the opportunity to enter into an arranged marriage with the founder's son. She is always seen decorating her husband's arm at high-class events for social elites

Despite having an arranged marriage, there was love between them.[4] They have formal attitudes, but they still share sweet, romantic moments with one another.[5] Both of them appreciate each other.[6] If some man would try to flirt with his wife, Ichirou's expression would not change. He would just stand there and watch how his wife responds, feeling confident that his wife would politely turn down the man who is trying to flirt with her.[7]

Her Daughter
Main article: Megami Saikou

Her daughter. Mrs. Saikou wants her to live a more "normal" life, but she knows what she signed up for when she married into the Saikou family, and she knows that she can't interfere with the upbringing that Megami's father wants her to have. She tries to be a kind and loving mother to Megami when she can, but Megami doesn't really have room for love in her life.[8]

Her Son
Main article: Kencho Saikou

Her son. She is fully aware that he was conceived with the sole purpose of being a "backup" in case his sister ever dies or abandons her obligations towards her family. Their relationship is unknown.

Trivia

  • Her hair is not dyed, it is just naturally close to the Saikou hereditary hair color.[9]
  • She was born in 1979.[10]
  • She gave birth to her oldest child when she was 23.[10]
  • Mrs. Saikou hasn't had time for her family (before getting married into the Saikou family) as she is involved in many responsibilities. Her daughter has never met them.[11]
  • YandereDev explained that the reason why Mrs. Saikou holds red wine in her illustration is a result of associating the trope with characters depicted as powerful, mysterious and being apart of a group that opposes or conflicts the protagonist or the primary goals.[12]

Quotes

Ichirou: The design tech department has hired the prototype for the next-gen processor... it will go into testing next month.
How was school?

(Megami understands that the question is not really one of news. "What accomplishments have you achieved at school lately that will help you run Saikou Corp later in life?" Her father would answer accordingly.)

Megami: I noticed that most of the Friday meetings have been running late. I restructured the agenda to eliminate redundancy, and we finished on time today.
Kencho: (Smirking, leaning back, twirling his fork in his fingers.) Sounds thrilling. (Sarcasm drips from every syllable.)
Megami: ...and you, Kencho? Aren't you going to tell them?
Kencho: ...tell them what?
Megami: About that test.
Kencho: ...how did you...?
Ichirou: (Raises an eyebrow) What test?
Kencho: (Sigh)...it's nothing.
Mrs. Saikou: It doesn't sound like it’s nothing. Something you want to come clean about?
Kencho: (After tapping his finger on the table, a few times in frustration) ...I scored 99 points on a test.
Ichirou: (Lifts his head, actually making eye contact with Kencho for the first time that day.) Oh? What did the remaining 1 point off?
Kencho: I didn’t get it wrong. My answer was right...I just...misread the question. So, I was writing down the right answer for the wrong question.
Ichirou: ...If one of my employees tried to justify his failures with an excuse like that, he’d be fired on the spot.
Kencho: (Hunches, but doesn’t argue back.)
Ichirou: ...Well, Do better next time.
(The family continues eating, with Kencho staring daggers at Megami, wondering she possibly knew the results of a test from earlier that day.)

After dinner...

Kencho: Heh.
Megami: Hm? Something on your mind?
Kencho: You must REALLY feel threatened by me.
Megami: And why do you say that?
Kencho: You're sooooo worried that if I surpass you one day that you actually spy on my school performance. How insecure. Pretty lame, sis.
Megami: The only reason I know that you scored a 99 is because your classmates overheard you trying to bribe the teacher to change your score to a 100, and started gossiping about it online. Saikou Corp's PR department has already deleted all messages about it from social media... but not before a bunch of people tagged me, begging me to react to your indiscretion.
Kencho: ...
Megami: ...
Kencho: ...so, the PR department goes through all that trouble to keep it under wraps, and then you just blab it to mom and dad at the dinner table. Do you get some sort of sick pleasure from humiliating me in front of them? Huh?
Megami: I wasn’t planning on saying a word about it. But then, you had to go and make a snide remark at dinnertime. That's when I suddenly decided that I believe strongly in accountability.
Kencho: (Scoffs) Good to know my words get under your skin that much. Like I said before: Insecure.
Megami: If you act like a child, you'll never be treated as an equal. It’s as simple as that.
(Megami turns and leaves, leaving Kencho frustrated with the way that Megami is always one step ahead of him, and even more frustrated at the fact that it matters so much to him.)

— A hypothetical dinner between the Saikou family members, which included Ichirou, his wife, Kencho, and Megami.[13]
