Minor Characters Gallery
Minor Characters are characters appearing or mentioned in Yandere Simulator who do not have enough known information to have their own page, but may still be relevant.
Minor NPCs[]
Main article: Osana Najimi
Mrs. Najimi is the mother of Osana Najimi.
YandereDev doesn't imagine her to be a tsundere.[1] Her voice can be heard and her shadow can be seen during Osana's suicide cutscene.
She's voiced by Alexandria Morris.
Main article: Karlheinz Asylum
They are the main obstacles during 1980s Mode's Befriending/Betrayal elimination methods. They started to wander in the asylum, seeing it as a shelter.
They are all voiced by Rin Satsu.
Main article: Dreams
He reuses Taro Yamada and Student-kun's original appearances.
He's seen in Origin and Outlander Dreams and was a victim of Ms. Basu for an unknown reason. Later, he's rescued by The Aishi Precursor, who defeats the demon and tangles her body into Confession Tree's roots, with Heartrender wedged inside of her chest. In Yanvania: Senpai of the Night, one of the characters is based on him; despite appearing on Yanvania's title screen, he's only mentioned in the game itself.
Main article: Yanvania: Senpai of the Night
The Merchant was The Aishi Precursor's ally. She's an ancestor of Info-chan and her appearance closely resembles hers, having spiky, neck-length red hair with a small ahoge on top, red eyes, and a pair of red glasses. She can be seen in the Origin Dream.
In Yanvania: Senpai of the Night, one of the characters is based on her; despite appearing on Yanvania's title screen, she's not shown in the game itself. She's not affected by the Dracula-chan's curse because of a family heirloom that makes her immune to curses/domination spells.[2] The merchant used magic to peer into the future to see the devices the people in the modern day were using, and created a crystal ball that was in the shape of a rectangle.[3]
Main article: Togo Atatsuma
They are a gang that antagonized Togo Atatsuma. After accepting Togo's task, Ryoba can fight them in a similar minigame to the one Ayano has access to after meeting the requirements to join the 202X delinquents. Canonically, Ryoba won the fight with them and completed Togo's task during the first week of the game.
The gang consists of five unknown members.
Before October 31st, 2025 Build, their appearances were taken from the 202X delinquents with few minor changes.
Main article: Dark Delights Bakery
They are minor obstacles during Week 2 stealth mission.
Three of them can be pickpocketed, which grants a key to either Dark Delights Bakery, the Construction Site, or the Office Building. The Office Building also contains another guard who is the only one who doesn't have any keys.
They are voiced by an unknown voice actor.
Main article: Dark Delights Bakery
He's a minor obstacle during Week 2 stealth mission.
He can be found in the Construction Site, calling someone. He can be easily avoided.
He's voiced by an unknown voice actor.
They are pedestrians/passersby in the Buraza Town and Week 2's Saturday cutscene. The appearance of the latter ones is edited models of Unity Asset Store characters. They do not serve any purpose other than making the environment seem crowded.
Animals[]
Main article: Osana Najimi
Kika[4] is the pet cat of Osana Najimi. Osana cares deeply about her.[4]
In Sutemi's description on the official website, Kika was stolen by Sutemi when he saw her through a window, which gave him the idea to steal Osana's cat in order to blackmail her into coming to his home. In his illustration, Kika appears distressed as Sutemi holds her by her pink polka-dot bow, which is likely choking her. Ayano can save Kika from the stalker to either befriend or betray Osana.
If Ayano eliminates Osana by betraying her, Ayano kills Kika.[5]
Main article: Tatoro
Tatoko is a pink female turtle in Light Music Club.
She only appears in the tank after praying to Tatoro 10 times, and only if the debug commands are turned on.
Only Mentioned[]
The following characters do not have an official appearance in the game yet.
Main article: Ichiko Saikou
They were students in Akademi during Ichiko Saikou's attending.[6][7]
Takahashi had dark circles around their eyes, so Ichiko gave them the nickname "Ra-kun". Shigeaki wanted to become a chef, so Ichiko gave them the nickname "She Fu", because "shefu" is how to pronounce the English word chef. They were only mentioned in a Discord message explaining the tradition at Akademi for giving people nicknames that are abbreviated versions of their names or Japanese pronunciation of English words that describe them.
Main article: Ajia Ashitomi
Ajia's ancestors were Ryukyuan, with a stronger cultural connection to their heritage than to a Japanese national identity. Their family values were shaped by World War 2.
Relatives who lived through the war developed a sense of unity with Japan, seeing themselves as a subgroup rather than a separate people. Ajia's grandfather moved to mainland Japan, assimilated, and married an ethnically Japanese woman. His sons did the same, and in recent generations, the family has identified as Japanese first, Ryukyuan second.[8]
Ajia's unpopular opinions were instilled in her by her parents.[9]
Main article: Amai Odayaka
Satoko is the older sister of Amai and the first daughter of Beika.[10] In one of Amai's Sai-Press posts, she reveals that she has an older sister whom she loves deeply. This makes Amai the youngest child in the Odayaka family.[11]
Amai is known for being the "sweet and gentle" sibling, while Satoko is described as more energetic and playful. Satoko's playful and lively nature complements her younger sister's gentle demeanor, and the two sisters are shown to have a strong bond.
YandereDev made a Satoko's rough estimate of her appearance using AI art.[12]
Not much is known about her other than she's a tomboy who rides a motorcycle and she doesn't want to work in a bakery for a living but helps her parents when needed.[13]
Main article: Budo Masuta
Chiisana[14] is the younger sister of Budo, who is an Akademi student and Martial Arts Club leader. According to YandereDev, Chiisana looks up to Budo. She thinks he is "super cool" and would like to be like him. When Budo practices Martial Arts, she mocks his moves. YandereDev describes her mocking as a "tiny female version of Budo" attempting to copy his stance and moves whenever he trains. He also imagines Chiisana as having a little red ribbon in her hair.[15] A full body illustration of Chiisana can be found here.
Main article: Rokuda Family
They are two henchmen who have proven themselves to be indispensable to the operation of Rokuda Loans, each of whom has different methods of extracting money from uncooperative clients.
They both work for Mr. Rokuda and will most likely appear in the third week of the game.
Main article: Mysterious Tapes
As told by The Journalist in the Mysterious Tape #9, she's a young woman who has just gotten out of high school. As she was flirting with Jokichi, Ryoba decided to kill her.[16] She was most likely killed, but this is yet to be confirmed.
She is not important and won't have a name.
Spouses[]
Main article: Inkyu Basu
He was a vampire. After Inkyu's mother disappeared in 1797, she looked to her father for guidance and protection, and they had a good relationship.[17] However, she only had the chance to spend about three years with her father before he was killed by monster hunters.
Main article: Mr. Harukawa
She is the deceased wife of Mr. Harukawa and mother of Kokona Haruka.
After her death, her family lost a lot of money trying to cure her illness and on her funerals.[18] Due to that, her husband went into debt to pay for Kokona's tuition fees.
Main article: Mr. Rokuda
Tragically, she passed away when Musume was still very young, leaving her daughter without any memories of her.[19] Despite living during a time when tattoos were heavily stigmatized and often associated with organized crime or the yakuza, Mrs. Rokuda made the bold decision to get a large, prominent tattoo on her leg. Her choice reflected her strong belief in self-expression, prioritizing personal values over societal norms and taboos.[20]
In her artwork, she wears a bag inspired by a pre-existing Louis Vuitton bag.[21]
Main article: Sakyu Basu
He was an incubus. After Sakyu's mother disappeared in 1797, when she was 10 years old, she looked to her father for guidance and protection, and they had a good relationship.[22] However, she only had the chance to spend about 3 years with her father before he was killed by monster hunters.
Main article: The Journalist
Based on the 6th mysterious tape, the Journalist first met his wife at a bar. But unlike most other people, she was unaware of him, which surprised the Journalist. She seemed to be very caring when it was mentioned that she took him home, cleaned his house, and left him a note saying that she was worried for him and wanted to see him again. From there, they kept meeting up, and their relationship eventually began. The Journalist didn't understand what his wife saw in him. As soon as they met, she wanted to spend every waking moment with him, wouldn't let him out of her sight, and got possessive if another woman so much as looked at him. The Journalist quickly also began to depend on her for everything, and it wasn't long before he couldn't live without her wife.
The Journalist thinks the fact that he was like an "adult-sized baby" — helpless and vulnerable — was what attracted his wife to him, and she just wanted to experience the sensation of owning a person, to keep a "human pet", and someone who she could emotionally depend on. But despite all his flaws, the Journalist accepted his wife. She wanted to marry him very quickly, about a month after meeting each other, but it wasn't until about six months when the Journalist accepted her proposal.
The Journalist's wife will be mentioned at one point, but she will only be mentioned towards "the end of the story."[23] The Journalist may have taken his wife's surname to escape his past.[24]
Main article: The Journalist
The journalist's daughter is an unknown character who appears during the credits in the 1980s mode. She was born in the same year as Ayano Aishi and one year after Ayano's Cousin.
Her father spends no time with her and knows nothing about her. She spends a lot of time on the computer, earns a lot of money, and sometimes comes home covered in blood. Fans have speculated that Info-chan is the daughter of the Journalist; however, YandereDev has stated that this remains a theory and has not confirmed its validity.[25]
Main article: Beika Odayaka, Amai Odayaka
Shefu[26] is the husband of Beika, and the father of two girls, Satoko and Amai. According to Beika's page, the origins of the Odayaka surname come from Shefu. He is also described by YandereDev as friendly and genuinely wholesome, regardless in public or in private. After they got married, the Odayaka bakery was started mainly because of Shefu and Beika's love for baking.
As of the February 1st, 2025 second update, Shefu, along with his wife, appear in a promotional signage for the school bake sale during Week 2.
Mr. and Mrs. Yamada are the parents of Taro and Hanako. They look very ordinary. Mr. Yamada looks like an older version of Taro, and Mrs. Yamada looks as plain as Taro does.[27] If they suspected Taro was in danger, they would move towns for him.[28] If they learned about Taro being in relationship with Ayano, they'd be happy for him.[29]
Main article: Info-chan
The player may possibly see one of Info-chan's parents.[30] However, Info-chan's parents have no idea what she's doing.[31] Info-chan's mother was possibly also "Info-chan" in her teenage years, but YandereDev said it's hard to answer that without spoilers.[32]
Main article: Reiichi Tanaami
Mr. Tanaami is the father of Reiichi, who was a former Student Council president at Akademi. According to his son's page, he is described to be similar to Reiichi, only that he was colder and made it clear to his son that not striving to be the best would cause him to fail.
Mr. Tanaami had various business dealings with Saikou Corp. He asked the founder, Saisho Saikou, about how to be a good father to his unborn child, which caused Saisho to go on a full speech about utilizing specific child-rearing methods and techniques. Saisho went on to say that in order to create a successful person, the child had to suppress their emotions so that they could be an efficient human-shaped machine. As Mr. Tanaami idolized Saisho's fame and success, he decided to raise Reiichi as Saisho explained it to him. Although Reiichi fit the mold that his father had shaped for him, he took a job offer at Saikou Corp instead of "staying loyal to his family". This took Mr. Tanaami by surprise, as he originally intended for his son to take over and inherit the family business so that he could retire.[33] Although he is disappointed (and even his only regret being to not conditioning his son to put his family above everything else[34]), he is still proud of his son for qualifying to be apart of Saikou Corp and rising high in the ranks.[35]
Main article: Osoro Shidesu
Mr. Shidesu is Osoro Shidesu's father, and the widower of her mother. According to Osoro's page, he is described as extremely abusive to his daughter, not properly feeding her or giving her proper parental love. YandereDev mentioned that his hair color is similar to that of Daisaku Aragaki from 1989. He was also incredibly strong as a teenager, but lost his strength by not maintaining his physical fitness.[36] As of now, he works as a gas station cashier at night and has lost his attractiveness. YandereDev describes him as balding, fat, and with hairy arms.[37] Fans have speculated that Daigo is Osoro's father; however, it stays to be not confirmed.
Main article: Itachi Zametora
Itachi's father is an extremely traditional man who believes in rigid gender roles. He raised Itachi with the view that men should take on leadership and physically demanding roles in society, while women should focus on domestic responsibilities. His conservative mindset had a strong influence on Itachi's worldview and attitudes toward gender. Itachi's father is a construction worker.[38]
Itachi's mother followed her husband's traditional values, taking on the role of homemaker and caretaker. She did not challenge the gender roles in the household and upheld the belief that women should focus on supporting their families through cooking, cleaning, and raising children. Her quiet acceptance of these norms reinforced the environment in which Itachi was raised. She is a stay-at-home wife.[38]
Development characters[]
Testing Characters[]
Main article: Students
Student-chan was an early placeholder for students, removed before personas were implemented in early 2015. Their later incarnations were shown with "rainbow 6" colored eyes and hair. In the October 21st, 2024 Build, she returned to showcase a pair of scarves for some students in 1980s Mode that offers a scarf task.
Main article: Rivals
Sumire, also known as "Goldie-chan," played the role of a test rival in Yandere Simulator Prototype. She hadn't appeared in the game ever since. She used the same model as Student-chan but with yellow hair, eyes, and stockings.
After October 10th, 2021, a student who was the victim of the 1980s mode protagonist reused the name but added 'zaki' after the surname 'Saito'.
Main article: Taro Yamada
Student-kun was an early placeholder for Taro Yamada. He only appeared in the 2014 prototype and in Yandere Clicker (only in the 2024 re-upload, as he was replaced by Taro in the original upload). Oddly enough, when the prototype was shared in 2019, Student-Kun's hair color was the same as Taro's. He hasn't appeared in the game ever since. In the October 21st, 2024 Build, he returned to showcase a pair of scarves for some students in 1980s Mode that offers a scarf task.
Main article: Gardening Club
Their only purpose was to demonstrate potential witnesses when attempting to steal a key from the club leader. They didn't function as real students and simply walked around the garden.
- Blue Flower is the placeholder for Himari Fujita, initially referred to as Himari Loutus.
- Pink Flower is the placeholder for Sakura Hagiwara, initially referred to as Ivy Raysu.
- Green Flower is the placeholder for Sumire Suzuki, initially referred to as Jitsumi Tsubakai.
- White Flower is the placeholder for Tsubaki Uesugi, initially referred to as Fia Kaivy.
- Red Flower model was scrapped, as every club can only have 5 members in total, excluding the rivals. She was referred to as Aisha Aiven by the modeler. YandereDev does not acknowledge her, as he never liked her.[39]
Similarly to other early placeholder characters, Nurse-Chan was a re-colored Ayano, this time in pink. She also used an early nurse's attire. At some point, her design was changed to the one that Muja Kina uses, along with infirmary keys being added later on. Lastly, she got Nasu Kankoshi's design, and her original one was used for Juri Nagasawa, but was turned into Muja's character draft made by Aea.
The suitor's only appearances were in the original matchmaking elimination sprite art before he was replaced by Kyuji Konagawa, and in the video "Matchmaking is Coming Soon". However, in the final artwork featured on the official website, he was replaced with Riku Soma. In both of these, he has a slightly different appearance, these being the haircut and its color.
She is only seen in the Yandere Simulator January 2019 Progress Report video. Her purpose was to represent a student.
Allegedly a volunteer's original character, her hair model is derived from a character in "Senran Kagura."
Scrapped Characters[]
Ayano was originally going to have a partner in crime who would assist her with murder by providing an alibi. This character would be named "Alibi-chan," and a design and some depictions of interaction between the girls were created. This character had blue hair and a similar appearance to Info-chan. YandereDev liked this idea, as she was an "inversion" of Info-Chan, with similar appearances and similar intentions.[40]
This idea was eventually scrapped, as it was not only complex but also made Ayano less independent. The person who proposed this idea could also suddenly "complain about it at some point in the future if they ever change their mind about letting me use their OC," according to YandereDev.[41]
It was confirmed that 11 rivals (excluding Sumire Saitozaki) were originally planned for the 1980s Mode. However, one of the rival's concepts, codenamed "Gloomy, " was eventually rejected.[42]
Her personality would have been shy, gloomy, and asocial. During her week, it would be raining, and a thunderstorm would take place. An aspiring meteorologist, she would have spent most of her time outdoors studying the thunderstorm and gathering data during the rain. Her canon elimination would have been getting electrocuted by her equipment.
Also known as Unity-chan, is a character used for testing purposes that was created by Unity Technologies. YandereDev said that he wanted to implement her into the game, but unfortunately, her creators didn't want to show her out of her dignity.[43]
