Minato Ando Gallery
Minato Ando[1] is a minor character in Yandere Simulator. He is the husband of Rei Ando, who is the antagonist of Amai's befriend/betray mission.
Appearance[]
He has neck-length calico hair with a base color of black, and the two different color streaks of dull purple and purple grey, with each strand carefully sectioned to give him an elegant look. A few strands partially cover his forehead. His eyes are a muted shade of purple-grey, and he has subtle eye wrinkles. Minato has pale skin and a gentle expression on his face.
He wears a formal server outfit that features many unique details. The outfit includes a dark grey long-sleeve jacket that is slouchy-fitted, adorned with multiple silver buttons and a high collar. The jacket has two sides: the left side is plain dark grey, while the right side is grey with a white spiderweb pattern. A breast pocket holds a single pen at the center-right on his chest. Near the base of his neck, there is a small fabric design resembling a bat, positioned near the pocket. He dons a dark purple knee-length apron trimmed with light purple, secured by a light dull purple belt with very dark grey buckles. A makeshift pocket is visible on the front of the apron, held by two small silver chain links attached to two of the belt buckles. Additionally, two chains wraps around half of his body, secured by a silver button that connects to the middle of his back. The apron’s trim is designed to be sharp. He completes his outfit with comfortable, loose grey pants with a dull purple trim and dark brown lace-up shoes with thick soles.
In his illustration, Minato does not have calico dyed hair like he did in-game, he also has tuna blue eyes. He wears a silver wedding band on his left ring finger. His left hand delicately holds a small plate featuring a decorated creature dessert, which has a white spherical base, a cute face, and horns with half of the head covered in a red sauce. In his right hand, he elegantly holds a purple teacup filled with steaming liquid.
Personality[]
Rei's husband, Minato, is a gentle soul who disapproves of his wife's underhanded tactics, but reluctantly participates in them anyway, driven by love and a fear of losing her. Rei insists on orchestrating every detail of her world with an unyielding grip, and to this end, she has even designed and handcrafted every outfit in her husband's wardrobe.
Minato is a timid man[2] who fell for Rei's "dark and dangerous side". He is described as having a gentle soul and disapproving of his wife's underhanded and incriminating tactics/activities.[1] He reluctantly participates in her tactics because of his love for her, and the fear of losing her. Minato assumed that what his wife was doing was harmless, so he played along with her, but this resulted in him thinking about how she would get the both of them into serious trouble.
He appears to be a people-pleaser, as he is detailed to be hesitantly joining Rei when she commits her crimes. While he attempts to protest against the crimes, he still ends up obeying her.[2]
As shown in-game, Minato loves Rei dearly. He doesn't want to cause her to have another meltdown and strain their marriage while trying to reason with her to destroy the receipts. He seems to not mind wearing Rei's handcrafted clothing to match her aesthetic. Based off of his description, he is okay with letting his wife take full control of his wardrobe, designing every piece of clothing with her fashion taste in mind.[1]
Routine[]
Minato can be found at the cashier on the first floor of Dark Delights Bakery, the shop he owns with his wife. He walks back and forth behind the counter, thinking out loud about his wife, with his phone in his hand.
If he catches Ayano, he'll assume she mistook the bakery for being open and politely ask her to leave.
Relationships[]

Minato's wife, Rei.
His Wife[]
- Main article: Rei Ando
Minato's love for Rei is so strong that he would not divorce her, even if she went too far with her criminal activities.[3]
Minato's entire appearance is designed and crafted by his wife to align with her Gothic Lolita aesthetic.[2]
It is unknown if he knows that Rei called him a "moron" for thinking that they can't just "throw away all of the receipts".
