Mahiro Honda is one of the male students who attended Akademi in 1980s Mode.

Mahiro has collar-length mousy brown hair with choppy bangs and light burgundy eyes.
He wears the default 1980s uniform with a reporter's ID on a black lanyard around his neck.
Previous[]
Before the October 21st, 2024 build, he had short brown hair. His bangs swept to his left, covering his left eyebrow. He had brown eyes.
Description[]
The advice columnist of the school newspaper. Loves to help people. Whether it's through column or in person, he is always willing to lend a helping hand to his fellow students.
Among the Personas that are currently implemented in the game, Mahiro is a Sleuth. When the school atmosphere is above 80%, he will act upon the Snitch persona if he sees Ryoba Aishi commit murder or if he finds a corpse.
When the school atmosphere is below 80%, he will take a photo of Ryoba committing murder or of the corpse and run to show it to The Journalist, who is just outside the school. This will cause an instant Game Over if the photo is of Ryoba committing murder, as Ryoba will have been arrested.
Routine[]
Week 1[]
Mahiro writing the newspaper.
At 7:05 AM, Mahiro enters the school grounds with the other members of the Newspaper Club. He walks to his locker at 7:10 AM and changes from his outdoor shoes to his indoor shoes. At 7:15 AM, he enters the Newspaper Club and types on his typewriter before walking down to the Plaza. He will occasionally go back to the Newspaper Club to write some more and then return to the Plaza.
At 8:00 AM, he walks to Classroom 2-2 and sits at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM, and leaves to go back to the Newspaper Club at 1:00 PM and continues writing the newspaper along with the rest of the club members. (He will eat his lunch near the Sociology Classroom with the rest of the club members during Mission Mode.)
He walks back to class at 1:30 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM.
Afterwards, Mahiro will head back to the Newspaper Club and type on his typewriter before walking back down to the Plaza, continuing to walk back and forth until the end of the day.
If Ryoba joins the club and participates in the club activity, he will help write the next day's newspaper. If the Newspaper Club is disbanded, he will socialize with the other former members near the Akademi Daily.
Week 2[]
Mahiro will quickly rush to his locker and change his shoes at 7:00 AM. He then goes to read at the stairs leading up to the Second Floor on the east side of the building.
At 8:15 AM, Mahiro will run to Classroom 2-2 and sit at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. He leaves to eat his lunch outside Classroom 2-2 at 1:00 PM.
He runs back to class at 1:23 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will go downstairs to read by the Infirmary until the end of the day.
On Thursday, he will not participate in cleaning time and will instead read until the end of the day.
Week 3[]
Mahiro will quickly rush to his locker and change his shoes at 7:00 AM. He then goes to read by the Martial Arts Club.
At 8:15 AM, Mahiro will run to Classroom 2-2 and sit at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. He leaves to go eat his lunch outside Classroom 2-1 at 1:00 PM.
He runs back to class at 1:23 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will head downstairs to read by the shoe lockers until the end of the day.
On Thursday, he will not participate in cleaning time and will instead read until the end of the day.
Week 4[]
Mahiro will quickly rush to his locker and change his shoes at 7:00 AM. He then reads by the shoe lockers.
At 8:15 AM, Mahiro will run to Classroom 2-2 and sit at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. Afterwards, he leaves to eat his lunch outside Classroom 3-2.
He runs back to class at 1:23 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will read by Classroom 2-1 until the end of the day.
On Thursday, he will not participate in cleaning time and will instead read until the end of the day.

At 8:15 AM, Mahiro will run to Classroom 2-2 and sit at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. He leaves to eat his lunch outside of Classroom 2-1 at 1:00 PM.
He runs back to class at 1:23 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will head outside to read by the Swimming Pool until the end of the day.
On Thursday, he will not participate in cleaning time and will instead read until the end of the day.
Week 6[]

At 8:15 AM, Mahiro will run to Classroom 2-2 and sit at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. He leaves to eat his lunch on the Rooftop at 1:00 PM.
He runs back to class at 1:23 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will head outside to read by the Cooking Club until the end of the day.

Week 7[]

During Week 10, Mahiro helps with Sonoko Sakanoue's investigation. During his free periods, he will investigate several students, including Ryoba.
