Mae Kunahito is the mother of Genka Kunahito.
Mae served as the guidance counselor at Akademi for over 20 years. During that time, she provided invaluable guidance to countless young men and women who were struggling with various difficulties in their lives.
As a result of making a meaningful impact on the lives of innumerable people, she made countless connections across a wide range of different industries, and gained a certain degree of fame and recognition for excellence in her field.
As a result of her prestigious reputation, it was very common for academic institutions to ask her to host seminars on the subject of assisting and advising students about academic and personal decisions.
Her accomplishments left a very strong impression on her daughter, who frequently compared herself to her own mother, and gradually developed an insecurity complex, fearing that she would never be able to match up to her widely-respected parent.

Considering how much Genka tries to imitate her mother and her Persona is Slightly Strict, it can be assumed Mae's personality is similar to that. It is worth noting that Mae is more strict according to her Persona. Her fame and reputation eventually took a toll on Genka though, as the latter developed an inferiority complex.
Routine[]
Mae sits in her chair working by writing on the paper every day in the Counselor's Office. She does not leave her office in game, but does go to reported Rivals' classrooms to speak to them. This is not seen in game.

Ryoba Aishi can plant contraband in a rival's bag and go to Mae's office to report "misconduct" in order to eliminate said rival. She can also frame her rival for possessing Himeko Dereguchi's stolen ring, alcohol, condoms, cigarettes, an answer sheet, or illegal narcotics (which can be purchased from The Yakuza). Five infractions over the course of a week will result in the rival's expulsion, unless narcotics are reported; in this case Mae will call the police to have the rival arrested, which expels one immediately. This is required to canonically eliminate Teiko Nabatasai.

- Mae shares the same behavior with her daughter, Genka Kunahito as they both have same animations and dialogues. According to YandereDev in "Everything About 1980s Mode In Yandere Simulator" video, the reason why is because Genka was imitating her mother's mannerisms because she felt inferior to her and was trying harder to become her mother's equal.[2]
