The Light Music Club is a club in Akademi.

Appearance[]

In the middle of the room, there is a stage with a giant screen displaying animations behind and drums and a keyboard on it, along with a microphone. On the right side of the room, there is the tank of Tatoro, a pet turtle, a row of four guitars, and a small desk where the leader writes lyrics. A sofa is located in the middle of the room against the wall. On the left side of the room, there is a mirror and the cello case. There are several spotlights on the ceiling.

In 1980s Mode, many instruments are located in this room; there is a drum set on the west side, a piano on the north-west side, three guitars on the south side, an amplifier in the south-west corner, a microphone and mic stand beside the club leader, and a cello case on the north side. There is a bench and two chairs surrounding a table with an alpaca with a top hat in the east corner, as well as a tank where a turtle lives and a small mirror in the northeast corner. The room has a brown wooden floor and trim. The room is a reference to how it looked back in the builds from May 6th, 2016 up until September 3rd, 2018.

Gameplay[]

While the protagonist is a member of this club, she can pick up and use the cello case. This club makes it easier to transport dismembered body parts and large weapons without being seen as suspicious.

The protagonist is also able to perform a song once per day along with the rest of the club members in a rhythm mini-game. Depending on how well the performance went, she will gain reputation points with the highest amount being 100. Additionally, she can also ask the club leader for practice.

The protagonist will be kicked out if another member of the club witnesses her commiting murder on the previous day. She will also be kicked out if she does not participate in club activities at least once a week. If the leader dies, the club will be forced to disband by the school. If one of the members dies, the club will be disbanded by Miyuji Shan herself. Once the club closes, the door to the room will be locked, but the protagonist can use a lockpick to open the door. She can also request permission to leave, but once she leaves, she can never join again.

Club Schedule[]

At 7:05 AM, the club members practice their instruments in different corners of the school hallways.

At 1:00 PM, they eat their lunch near the clubroom.

From 4:00 PM until the end of the day, they practice music together in the clubroom.

Trivia[]

  • The guitars in 1980s Mode are a reference to the anime K-On!.[1]
    • Alongside the guitars, the name of the club and turtle (Tatoro) may be a reference to Ton, as they are both turtles in an all-female Light Music Club. The name of the band, Strawberry Thieves, is a reference to a scene where Tsumugi steals Mio's strawberry. The composition of the club is also identical.
  • As of the September 3rd, 2018 Build, the clubroom's design has been changed. It was later used in 1980s Mode.
  • In 1980s Mode, all members of the Light Music Club wear pigtails. They also used to have different hair colors, but now all members have blue hair colors
    • Despite many fans comparing the members to Hatsune Miku, YandereDev says that the girls are not a reference of Miku.[2]
  • A cello case is available to the player because there was once a cello player in the club.[2]
  • Ryoba Aishi joined the Light Music Club in her 2nd year to get closer to Ai Doruyashi.[3][4]
    • Even after the "accidental death" of Ai, she still stayed in that club[5] until the court trial. After this, she remained clubless for her duration at Akademi.[6]
  • The 202X members are within 5cm of each other's heights.[7]
  • The 1989 club mini game outfits are a reference to to "2014 yandere sim".[8]
  • In the test version of the Akademi this club has been called "Music Room".
  • The club accessories of this club is a music note clip in 202X Mode, while it's a hair clip associated with their instrument in 1980s Mode.
  • Among the Light Music Club, the Martial Arts Club and Science Club are amongst the loudest clubs. Some of the other clubs may complain, but there are no held grudges.[9]
