Kizana Sunobu is the third upcoming rival of Ayano Aishi and the leader of the Drama Club in Yandere Simulator.

Appearance

Kizana has fair skin and dark lilac hair; she often changes her hairstyle but usually wears bangs and partially curls her hair. Her main hairstyle has straight bangs that are slightly swept to the left, with small side strands framing her face, and two twin drills held up by two Persian red roses and dark pink eyes. She has a large bust size of 1.35. Kizana's height is 163cm (5'4").

She wears school uniform with a black choker with a red rose in the center and purple stockings with red roses and green leaves. As the leader of the Drama Club, she wears the "Red Armband of Leadership" with the "comedy and tragedy" masks on her left arm. Kizana's roses in her hair are a result of hundreds of rose bushes surrounding her house. She gets the roses she puts in her hair from those bushes every day.

When outside of school, Kizana wears expensive and flashy clothing; during her leisure time, she experiments with her hair or tries on various expensive dresses. When Kizana attends class via Sai-Meet, her hair is seen loose and wavy. She also has two slightly curved strands of hair that end in drills in front of her shoulders. She's also wearing tomato red lipstick.

Personality

Kizana is the president of the school's drama club. Her short-term goal is to be the most popular girl in school, and her long-term goal is to be the most famous actress who has ever lived.

Kizana will be absent during the first two weeks of gameplay, but will set her sights on Senpai as soon as she returns to school. She is convinced that Senpai would make an excellent addition to the drama club, which might be just the thing to take his mind off of the events that he will experience during the first two weeks of gameplay...

Her personality is very distasteful, but her beauty and her ability to captivate an audience might be enough to get her into Senpai's heart. She might just be the "Juliet" to his "Romeo"...

Kizana is described as snobby, haughty, arrogant, and conceited, matching the trope of a himedere. YandereDev describes her as "a wannabe princess who thinks highly of herself and enjoys bossing other people around". In actual reality, she is less talented and intelligent than she thinks she is, ranking #8 in academic knowledge out of all rivals in Story Mode. In terms of intelligence and general knowledge, her rank might be slightly different. She seems to hate being inferior in any way, whether it's reputation, attention in the group, or club funding, going as far as having second-highest test scores among the rivals because she dislikes being at the bottom of lists.

Despite her comparatively low intelligence level and narcissism, she appears to be genuinely invested in the theater. Kizana has had a life goal to act ever since she was young. She was in a few school plays as a child, but she is not a child actress, and currently, she only wants to be the lead actress. To educate herself and improve her own acting skills, she watches critical analysis of films and stage plays, as well as a wide variety of the awarded films to study the actors' performances and learn from them. She also posts acting tutorial videos and has the second largest number of followers on Social Media after Megami Saikou.

Most people get annoyed at Kizana for her egotistical behavior unless they ignore her flaws and admire her acting abilities, as feels entitled to receive respect, praise, and admiration from other people. Kizana one true love is described as "herself": she is someone who doesn't care what happens to others, and in a hypothetical situation where she saw someone get bullied, she wouldn't care; however, if she wasn't in a hurry to get somewhere, she'd watch the bullying for entertainment.

Routine

Though it is unknown at the moment, YandereDev has said that Kizana's routine will put her close to Taro or other students. One possibility is that she will constantly have an entourage of admirers following her around all the time, much like Komako Funakoshi and Chigusa Busujima.

She will be absent during the first two weeks because of broken bones, more specifically, her leg, as a result of falling off the stage. During the first two weeks, she can be seen attending class online.

• Music genre preferences: Kizana likes listening to anything that can make her feel "classy" just for listening to it. In addition to that, she listens to songs from famous musicals, songs that she is rehearsing for, and classical music.
• Favorite movies genre: Her favorite genre is romance.
• Favorite food: Similarly to Ritsuko Chikanari, Kizana's favorite food is something that she can relish due to its "prestige" of said dish being expensive, rather than the enjoyment that comes from the taste, such as Wagyu Beef.
• Favorite color: Her favorite color is purple.
• Favorite animals: She claims that butterflies, or anything pretty, are her favorite animals. However, her true favorite animal is snakes, but she lies instead since she understands that others would consider snakes creepy. Her pet is a female lavender Albino python.
• Kizana dislikes babies and thinks that they are annoying. However, if she were forced into a situation where she had to babysit, she would put actual and genuine effort into caring for the baby, despite not enjoying it.

Relationships

Taro Yamada

Like most other rivals, Kizana will have a crush on Taro. Similarly to Amai, Kizana meets Taro on Saturday, sitting nearby a movie theater. In the dialogue, Kizana leverages Taro's recent grief as an aesthetic resource, framing his emotional state not as private suffering but as raw material for artistic authenticity. Taro, comparatively passive and impressionable, initially resists but agrees reluctantly with her reframing of performance as catharsis. His tentative agreement is preempted by Kizana's immediate assumption of control, underscoring her dominance in the relationship.

YandereDev imagines that, during her week, she will attempt to convince him to join the Drama Club and would only show him her "good side". If the Drama Club were disbanded before Kizana's week, she would do everything herself and force Taro to help. If she entered a relationship with Taro, she'd turn him into an actor.

If she were rejected by Taro and saw the latter talking to Oka Ruto the next week, she would be very angry. She would also be jealous if she saw Taro being hit on by another girl, even if he doesn't reciprocate the girl's advances.

• Megami Saikou: Kizana is envious of Megami and seeks to dethrone her as the most popular girl in school, as Kizana's goal is to become "Queen" of the school.
• Osana Najimi and Hanako Yamada: Kizana thinks of Osana and Hanako as "random nobodies" and "peasants".
• Muja Kina and Mida Rana: Kizana thinks Muja and Mida attract too much attention and steal her "limelight".
• Oka Ruto: Kizana thinks that Oka is a weird, creepy freak.
• Osoro Shidesu: Kizana thinks Osoro is scary and stays far away from her.

Others

Because Kizana never considers anyone her true friend, all of her social connections and friendships are purely based on what/who would benefit/be useful to her, rather than the feeling of a connection with someone. She has a negative opinion of most of the club leaders and their clubs.

• Family: Both her mother and father are actors. Her relationship with them is complicated. However, YandereDev says that her number one precious thing is her family. Kizana's parents do care about their daughter a lot.
• Tsuruzo Yamazaki: Tsuruzo thinks that Kizana's personality is abrasive, but he has a huge amount of admiration for her parents and her acting ability.
• Kokona Haruka: Kizana isn't too bothered by Kokona trying to imitate her and copying her hairstyle, but she wants Kokona to develop her own style since she values creativity and originality.
• Toga Tabara: Toga thinks that Kizana is a jerk.
• People She Competes With: Kizana would be pleased if misfortune befell a person she considered to be her rival, since she is spiteful to other people she competes with.
  • Musume Ronshaku: Kizana and Musume are rivals due to sharing one common goal: be the most popular girl in school. They are positioned antagonistically towards each other.
  • Dafuni Bureiku: Similar to Musume, Kizana feels threatened by Dafuni because she's beautiful and popular, and worries she might take her place as the most popular girl in school. Kizana also tried to recruit Dafuni as a follower to keep her below her, but Dafuni refused, knowing they aren't good people. Instead, she sticks with her friends in the Photography Club and avoids them. Kizana dislikes her for rejecting them, but doesn't see her as a real threat since she keeps to herself.
  • Saki Miyu: Saki once used a "drill twin tails" hairstyle. This angered Kizana since she didn't want anyone at school to have hair more spectacular than hers.
  • Miyuji Shan: Kizana does not see Miyuji as a threat because she seems focused on improving her musical ability and her band rather than her social status/influence at school.
• Club Leaders: The opinion of the Drama Club purely revolves around Kizana, as she is described as "bitchy and hard to deal with". This results in annoyance with the other club leaders, but no serious feud or issues have happened.

• Her name is a play on the word "気障な" (kizana), which means "rude" or "snobbish", or on "きざな" (kizana), which means "affected" or "pretentious, " while her surname is a play on the word "スノブ" (sunobu), which is the katakana writing of "snob".
  • There is also an actual Japanese name, "Kizana", meaning "elegance and grace".
• In the future, if the club has disbanded before her designated week arrives, there will be a short cutscene in which she will express some very sad feelings.
• From the May 19th, 2017 Build, until the June 1st, 2017 Build, it was possible to "add" her into the game by changing ID 34's name from "Unknown" to "Kizana Sunobu" or random words in the JSON file. However, she had no functionality besides being able to give a task, which caused the game to freeze if the player accepted or declined it.
  • This task will not return to the game, as Kizana will change her hairstyle each day.
• In the final game, YandereDev may add a secret code that would allow the player to change her hair and eye color.
• YandereDev thinks she may sprinkle French and Latin phrases into her speech to project an image of sophistication and education.
• YandereDev suggested that, as opposed to being annoyed about being imitated, Kizana might instead really like creativity and originality, so she would ask Ayano to help Kokona find an original hairstyle for that reason instead.
