Karlheinz Asylum is a location featured in 1980's Mode.

Appearance

It is a large and abandoned building. Inside the asylum you can find homeless people and drug addicts, who will patrol the whole place, making it difficult to burn the photos, and the evil photographer who watches over a bag full of photos of naked girls (not shown) he threatened.

In some rooms you can find a bottle of lethal poison, a bottle of sedative, a box of cigarettes and pebbles. You must hold F then press E to throw the pebbles.

In the corridors of the asylum, there are lockers where Ryoba can hide and avoid being seen by the homeless people and drug addicts.

Description

The Asylum is an abandoned mental asylum located just outside of Buraza Town. By 1989, homeless people and drug addicts began squatting in the building. Also, a photographer started circulating rumours that the asylum is haunted by ghosts and that it is a good location to test one's courage, in order to lure girls to the asylum so that he can force them to strip their clothing and take photos of them at knifepoint. In order to eliminate a rival via befriending or betrayal, Ryoba Aishi must sneak through the asylum and burn the photographer's bags containing pictures of naked girls.

Trivia

• The asylum's name can be found upon the base of a statue in the lobby.
• As of the August 1st, 2023 update, the homeless people and drug addicts now have 34 different lines of dialogue, and their dialogue is chosen randomly, instead of always playing in the same order.
• If the homeless person or drug addict notices you or if you go closer to them, they will give you an instant game over saying, "Who are you?! Are you a demon?! YOU WON'T KILL ME, DEMON!"
• The voiceline "I... smell... burnt toast..." means that the homeless person/drug addict may be about to have a stroke, since the smell of burnt toast is said to be a sign of a stroke.
• One of the lines is a reference to iconic dialogue of Big Smoke from GTA: San Andreas.
