Kagemori Takagi is one of the male students who attended Akademi in 1980s Mode.

Current[]
Kagemori has short brown hair styled in a bowl cut with bangs that reach his eyes and cover most of his eyebrows. He has green eyebrows.
If the player tells him Sumiko Tachibana's hairstyle preference in order to matchmake him with her, he will tie some of his hair into a small ponytail on the back of his head or slick his bangs back.
He wears the default 1980s uniform with a reporter's ID on a black lanyard around his neck.
Previous[]
Before the October 21st, 2024 Build, he had short, grey-brown hair. His bangs were fringed and they reached his eyelashes. His eyes were dark teal.
Personality[]
The sports columnists for the school newspaper. Loves sports, but has never excelled at physical activities. Decided that being a sports journalist was the best way to pursue his interests.
Among the Personas that are currently implemented in the game, Kagemori is a Sleuth. When the school atmosphere is above 80%, he will act upon the Snitch persona if he finds a corpse or sees Ryoba Aishi commit murder.
When the school atmosphere is below 80%, he will take a photo of Ryoba committing murder or of the corpse and run to show it to The Journalist, who is just outside the school. This will cause an instant Game Over if the photo is of Ryoba committing murder, as Ryoba will have been arrested.
If he witnesses Sumiko Tachibana's murder, he will run to Ryoba and try to apprehend her.
Routine[]
Week 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9[]

At 7:05 AM, Kagemori enters the school grounds with the other memebrs of the Newspaper Club. He walks to his locker at 7:10 AM and changes from his outdoor shoes to his indoor shoes. At 7:15 AM, he enters the Newspaper Club and types on his typewriter before walking down to the Plaza. He will occasionally go back to the Newspaper Club to write some more and then return to the Plaza.
At 8:00 AM, he walks to Classroom 3-1 and sits at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM, and leaves to go back to the Newspaper Club at 1:00 PM and continues writing the newspaper along with the rest of the club members. (He will eat his lunch near the Sociology Classroom with the rest of the club members during Mission Mode.)
He lastly walks back to class again at 1:30 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM.
Afterwards, he will head back to the Newspaper Club and type on his typewriter before walking back down to the Plaza, continuing to walk back and forth between them.
If Ryoba Aishi joins the club and participates in the club activity, he will help write the next day's newspaper.
If the Newspaper Club is disbanded, he will socialize with the other former members near the Akademi Daily.

Week 2[]
Kagemori will quickly rush to his locker and change into his shoes at 7:00 AM, he then heads upstairs to the second floor to sit down and read outside of the Martial Arts Clubroom.
At 8:15 AM, Kagemori will run to Classroom 3-1 and sit at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. Afterwards, he leaves to go to the outside of Classroom 2-1 to eat his lunch at 1:00 PM.
Afterwards, he runs back to class again at 1:28 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will sit down to read by the Shoe Lockers, and stays there till the end of the day.
On Thursday, he will not participate in cleaning time and instead sit and read until the end of the day.
Week 4[]

During week 4, Kagemori will deviate from his regular routine to admire Sumiko Tachibana from time to time. When he is not stalking her, he will spend time in the plaza.
Week 10[]
During Week 10, Kagemori helps with Sonoko Sakanoue's investigation. He will investigate several students, including Ryoba, but otherwise not deviate from his regular routine.

Sumiko Tachibana[]

Kagemori has a crush on Sumiko and is her suitor. If he is matched with Sumiko, the two will begin a romantic relationship with each other, which will eliminate Sumiko. If he witnesses Sumiko's murder, he will try to apprehend Ryoba Aishi.

- The "kage" in his given name, Kagemori, can be written as "shadow" (影) or "auspicious" (景). The "mori" can be written as "prosperous" (盛), "samurai" (士), "the forest surrounding the shrine" (杜), "prosperous" (盛), "woods" (森), or "scales" (衡).[2]
- "Takagi" is written as 高城, with 高 meaning "tall" and 城 meaning castle.[3]
- Like Ryuto Ippongo, he is the male victim by praying to Tatoro. This is because he and Ryuto share the same student ID. [4]
- Kagemori was given Nagaharu Kurudo's hairstyle in the 1980's Revamp update.
