Hokuto Furukizu is one of the male students who currently attends Akademi.

Appearance 

Hokuto has blond hair styled in a short quiff haircut, magenta eyes framed by thin oblique eyebrows, and two parallel diagonal scars on his right cheekbone with the second being notably shorter.

He wears the default school uniform with the jacket unbuttoned, revealing a purple shirt with a pistol firing black gunk on it, a helix piercing on his left ear and a weapon box on his back containing a Bokken unless customized by the player.

Prior to becoming a delinquent, he wore the default uniform and had shoulder-length orange hair.

Among the Personas that are currently implemented in the game, Hokuto is Violent. If Ayano Aishi aims her phone at him, he will scowl and cover his face. If he sees Ayano carrying a corpse or committing murder, he will run up to her and begin a combat mini-game and if Ayano wins, he will run out of the school and call the police. However, if he witnesses Ayano carrying the corpse of or murdering a bully, he will compliment her on her crime and run off. This is due to the fact that Hokuto wishes death on Bullies who bullied him and his friends, as seen in the Death Demon's ritual.

However, if Ayano murders or carries the corpse of Kokoro Momoiro when all of the other bullies are dead, he will run up to Ayano and begin a combat mini-game until himself or Ayano has been downed.

If Ayano initiates a fight with him, he will fight until either one of them are injured. If he loses, he will drop his weapon.

If he sees Ayano bloody or Insane, he will only mock her and not lower her reputation.

He projects a "fearsome" appearance so that he will not be bullied again. Additionally, Hokuto's delinquent personality is merely an important facade, as they would only let their guard down when they know that they won't go to an area where a peer from their school would see them. The lower the possibility is, the more relaxed and casual he becomes.

Hokuto is the calmest of the delinquents by nature.

His mannerisms that are described in his description were subconsciously influenced by the media Hokuto was consuming.

Background

Originally, Hokuto was being bullied to the point of considering a suicide pact with his four friends. However, after he and his friends witnessed Osoro Shidesu beat up multiple students from another school, he realized the importance of a tough façade, joined with her, and changed his appearance and attitude to fit that of a delinquent. Hokuto, alongside the other delinquents, started getting bullied simultaneously, in a similar timeframe. Which was 24 hours.

Routine

At 7:06 AM, Hokuto enters the school grounds. He walks to his locker at 7:07 AM and changes from his outdoor shoes to his indoor shoes. At 7:12 AM, he walks to the Incinerator and talks with Umeji Kizuguchi, Gaku Hikitsuri, Dairoku Surikizu and Hayanari Tsumeato.

At 8:30 AM, Hokuto walks into Classroom 2-2, sits at his desk and plays on his phone. He starts his morning classes at 8:40 AM, and leaves to go to the incinerator at 1:00 PM.

Hokuto walks back to class again at 1:40 PM and goes to the incinerator between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM.

Task

"Hokuto Furukizu has challenged you to bring him a weapon to prove your bravery. He thinks that you are too faint-hearted to carry a knife. Prove him wrong."

Hokuto's task is to find him a Knife. Ayano Aishi can give him a regular knife (for example the one from the Cooking Club) or the Ritual Knife from the Occult Club. When his task is completed, Ayano will befriend him and he won't shove her, even if she approaches him. However, he will not do any favors for her.

Completing his task is essential to join the Delinquents, as well as the other delinquents' tasks.

Hokuto's relationship with his fellow delinquents is best described as people who have a mutual trust and friendship with one another, and spend a lot of time together. Their situation does not make them friends, but rather "comrades in arms". They do develop friendships with one another gradually.

When they talk near the Incinerator Area, they talk about their shared interests. They also talk about the students at Akademi. Who may be a bully, who may be bullied and where they should relocate if they want to keep an eye on someone.

Hayanari Tsumeato

Main article: Hayanari Tsumeato

Hokuto and Hayanari are best friends. According to Hayanari's profile, Hokuto stood up for him when he was getting bullied, which led to the Bullies targeting him. Hayanari respects Hokuto.

Both of them hang out together after school, and would keep in contact with eachother after graduating from Akademi. They have been friends since middle school.

Hokuto does not like the fact that Hayanari smokes, but respects Hayanari and his free will to do what he wishes.

Drama Club Members

All the members of the Drama Club seem like snobs to Hokuto. However, it is unknown if the members know of Hokuto's feelings towards them.

Family

Hokuto feels negatively towards his family. This is because they did not put any effort to stop the bullying that he was experiencing at school. Alongside this, they did not show any sympathy to Hokuto while he was being bullied.

Trivia

• He was implemented in the April 26th, 2018 Build.
• His first name, Hokuto (北斗), means "Northern dipper" or "Big Dipper"
  • The "Ho" syllables of Hokuto's name means cheek.
    • This was a result of giving scars to each male 202X delinquent, and then authenticating their name by using the syllables that he translated from English to Japanese.
• His surname, Furukizu (古傷), means ”old wound”.
• YandereDev originally planned to name him Chiku (from the word cheek), but this idea was abandoned as players would not approve of this way of choosing a name for a character.
• The reason he is negative towards martial arts is that he thinks it's stupid to follow the rules during a fight instead of doing everything possible to win it.
• He likes knives, and thinks they're cool, but not because they can easily cut anything. He generally likes knife forging and blacksmithing.
• Hokuto's scar is a result of him and his friends walking up to the Bullies, pulling out their knives, and slitting their skins in various spots. The group of boys glared at Musume Ronshaku for a bit, then left with blood dripping on their faces. It sent a message to Musume and her friends, who realized that the next time they bullied the delinquents, the damage the boys did to themselves would be done to them next. The bullies have stopped bullying them since.
• When at home, Hokuto likes to wear something comfortable and casual, especially if he does not plan to leave the house.
• If the delinquents stopped being friends altogether, Hokuto would keep up his tough facade, just by himself instead of his group. While he lacks members or a gang to back him up, he would still continue to intimidate others who attempted to bully him.
• Hokuto's favorite color is purple.
