Heartrender Gallery
The Heartrender[1] is an unavailable weapon in Yandere Simulator, found in the secret ending.
The weapon is a type of anti-monster weaponry used to slay the supernatural.
Appearance[]
The heartrender is a "whip-sword" which can transition its appearance from a whip and a sword, as described by YandereDev.[1] The sword side of the weapon includes a lava red layered and patterned blade with a sharp point, red and black intricate details on the edges, guard and pommel, and a gray handle with evenly separated black lines.

The intricate details on the guard (above the handle) can be seem in a triangular merlot-red or dark gray shape, with the pommel (bottom part of the sword below the handle) of the sword being either in irregular triangles or trapezoid shapes.
When transformed into a whip, the guard and below remain unchanged, while the blade of the sword becomes two times longer, with lava red heart jewels connected by a black string. The whip can also appear to move on it's own, with the heart jewels also beating, similarly to a real heart.
Gameplay[]
The Heartrender can be found in Ms. Basu chest in the cave under the Confession Tree, which leads to a secret ending between Ayano and Sakyu and Inkyu. To enter the cave, Ayano must break the rocks blocking the cave with a Pickaxe. It is not playable as it doesn't have unique killing animations yet, but it will be made playable in the future.
The heartrender still isn't available for the player to use as of right now, so its killing animations are not yet available.
Trivia[]
- It was implemented in October 31st, 2024 build.
- The unique name could mean "caused something to the heart" or something that affects the heart deeply.
- This weapon belongs to the The Aishi Precursor, as she stabbed Ms. Basu in the chest to imprison her under the tree. This weapon was not powerful enough to successfully kill the demon, but it is powerful enough to trap and lock Ms. Basu under a Cherry Tree.[2]
- In 1997, a game developer from Japan turned the legend of "The Akademi Institute" into a video game called Yanvania: Senpai of the Night. One of the weapons he added to the game was named "chain of hearts." It was created with roots on a vague and crude description of the Heartrender, which somewhat resembles a "chain of hearts."[1]
- This weapon is the only kind that isn't programmed for the player to use.
- The name of this weapon was going to be Heartbreaker, but the robot covered in tarp found in the Science Club is already named that.[1]
