Hayato Haruki is one of the male students who attended Akademi in 1980s Mode.
Before he was reintroduced in 1980s Mode, he was one of the male students who attended Akademi in 202X Mode.

Hayato has chin-length green hair that is partially slicked back with four strands hanging out, with two reaching his eyebrows and two reaching his eyes. His hair sticks out behind his head, and the slicked back portion sticks up slightly and is held by a red hairband. He has green eyes.
He wears the default 1980s school uniform.

Hayato had emerald green hair that is partially pulled back, with four strands of hair hanging over his forehead, and emerald green eyes.
He wore the default uniform, unless customized by the player.
He used to wear a white headband when he was in the Martial Arts Club, although it did not show up on his Student Profile. As of the January 1st, 2016 Build, he no longer wore the headband and was no longer a part of the Martial Arts Club.
Personality[]
A friendly and outgoing boy. Loves to make new friends, and will be friends with just about anybody. Doesn't like to sit still; always tries to stay active.
Current[]
Among the Personas that are currently implemented in the game, Hayato is Heroic. If he sees a corpse, he will act upon the Teacher's Pet persona. If he witnesses a murder, he will run to fight Ryoba Aishi.
Week 10[]
During Week 10, Hayato helps with Sonoko Sakanoue's investigation and uses the Sleuth persona. He will take a photo of Ryoba committing murder or of the corpse and run to show it to The Journalist, who is just outside the school. This will cause an instant Game Over if the photo is of Ryoba committing murder, as Ryoba will have been arrested.

Hayato was a Social Butterfly. He happily posed for a picture if Ayano aimed her phone at him. If he saw a corpse or witnessed a murder, he would run to the nearest populated area and call the police. If Ayano approached, he would scream for her to go away, and if Ayano committed another murder in his eyesight, he would curl into a ball. He could not participate in physical fights against murderers.

Week 1[]
Hayato changes his shoes at 7:00 AM, then heads to the school plaza to hang out with the rest of the rainbow boys. At 8:00 AM, He goes to class in Classroom 1-2 and sits at his desk and starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. Afterwards, he leaves to eat his lunch on the school rooftop at 1:00 PM.
He heads back to class at 1:23 PM, then participates in Cleaning Time at 3:30 PM.
At 4:00 PM, he hangs out with the rest of the rainbow boys at the school plaza and stays there until 5:30 PM.
Week 2[]
Hayato changes his shoes at 7:00 AM, then goes to the back of the school and hangs out with the rest of the rainbow boys and Moeko Rakuyona. At 8:00 AM, He goes to class in Classroom 1-2 and sits at his desk and starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. Afterwards, he leaves to eat his lunch on the school rooftop at 1:00 PM.
He heads back to class at 1:23 PM, then participates in Cleaning Time at 3:30 PM.
At 4:00 PM, he hangs out with the rest of the rainbow boys and Moeko in the indoor cafeteria and stays there until 5:30 PM.

Then, Hayato runs back to class again at 1:28 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will sit down to read at the indoor cafeteria, and stays there until the end of the day.
On Thursday, he will not participate during cleaning time and will instead sit down and read till the end of the day.

At lunch time, Hayato heads to the Home Ec Room along with the other Rainbow Hair Boys to make a bento for lunch, making it harder for Ryoba to eliminate Sumiko Tachibana without a witness. Afterwards, he leaves to eat his lunch on the school rooftop at 1:05 PM.
He heads back to class at 1:23 PM, then participates in Cleaning Time at 3:30 PM.
At 4:00 PM, he goes to the Cafeteria to perform raijo taiso along with the Rainbow Students and Sumiko. At 4:30 PM, he heads to his locker, changes his shoes, then walks out of school with the rest of the rainbow students.
Week 5[]
Hayato will quickly rush to his locker and change into his shoes. At 7:00 AM, he will sit down and read by the shoe lockers.

At 8:00 AM, he walks to Classroom 1-2 and sits at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM and leaves to once again investigate various students at 1:00 PM.
He walks back to class again at 1:30 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. Afterward, he will continue to investigate various students until the end of the day.

At 7:05 AM, Hayato enters the school grounds. He walked to his locker at 7:10 AM and changed from his outdoor shoes to his indoor shoes. At 7:15 AM, he walked into the plaza, to the right side of the fountain, and gossiped with Haruto Yuto, Sota Yuki, Ryusei Koki, Sora Sosuke, and Riku Soma.
At 8:00 AM, Hayato walked into Classroom 2-1 and sat at his desk. He started his morning classes at 8:30 AM, then left to go to the cafeteria to gossip at 1:00 PM.
Hayato walked back to class again at 1:30 PM and participated in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. He then headed to his locker and changes from his indoor shoes to his outdoor shoes, then he lingered there until 3:50 PM, when he walked home.

- He was first implemented in the April 18, 2015 Build.
- His name is a reference to the most popular male Japanese names for 2012, 5th most popular being Hayato, 6th most popular being Haruki.[2][3]
- The name 隼人 Hayato means ”Falcon Man” (隼 Haya means ”Falcon”, and 人 To means ”Man”). Surname 陽生 Haruki means ”Sunny Shine” (陽 Haru means ”Sunny”, and 輝 Ki means ”Shine”).
- His female counterpart is Koharu Hinata.
- They, along with Sumiko Tachibana (Week 5 and onwards) were the only ones to have the Heroic persona without being members of the Sports Club or Martial Arts Club in the 1980s.
- When he was in the Martial Arts Club in the December 3rd, 2015 Build, he wore a white headband, although he did not wear one in his portrait. He was incapable of self-defense and did not attend club meetings.
