Trivia[]
- The word "Spooktacular" was first mentioned in the Halloween and DLC blogpost. YandereDev most commonly uses this word during Halloween when he has new content related to the game that is about to be released.
- In Buraza Town, there is a game store that sells video games depending on the protagonist's timeline, although they cannot be purchased due to a sold out sign placed on every option.
- YandereDev once described a minigame concept by using a paranormal demon (a succubus) and imagining her in a minigame. This idea came after he saw a succubus character model in the Unity Asset store. He also described a "Halloween DLC" where the protagonist could have a succubus summoned by a desperate male student, Sumire Saitozaki as a ghost, or a shapeshifter as her rivals in this package.[23]
- In the The 11th Anniversary of Yandere Simulator's Development blogpost, YandereDev explained that Yandere Simulator was a commonly revolving factor around his life that many people think of the game when his name is mentioned. He further explained that he would be more than happy to create more types of these minigames sharing his ideas if the main game "didn't eat up 100% of my time".
- If he "unshackled" his chains from the main game, he could be the developer who releases 1 minigame every month that conveys an idea he had, and several hundred more before he died. He says the ideas separate from Yandere Simulator could likely take years from now, as the main game is a recurring component attached to his life.
