Sora Sosuke

Sora Sosuke is one of the male students who attended Akademi in 1980s Mode.

Sora wears the default 1980s uniform.

He has messy cyan hair. His bangs are separated into three locks - one partially covering his right eye, one nearly reaching his nose on the center of his face, and one that reaches his left eye. He has cyan eyes as well.

Sora wore the default uniform unless customized by the player.

He had messy cyan hair that partially covered his right eye, with three locks of hair on his forehead. His eyes were cyan.

Personality[]

Among the personas that are currently in the game, Sora is a Snitch. If he sees a corpse or witnesses a murder, he will run to the landline phone in the faculty room and call the police. He cannot participate in physical fights against murderers.

Week 10[]

During Week 10, Sora helps with Sonoko Sakanoue's investigation and uses the Sleuth persona. He will take a photo of Ryoba Aishi committing murder or of the corpse and run to show it to the police, who are just outside the school. This will cause her to be exposed if the photo is indeed of her committing murder.

Routine[]

Week 1[]

Sora changes his shoes at 7:00 AM, then heads to the school plaza to hang out with the rest of the rainbow boys. At 8:00 AM, He goes to class in Classroom 3-2 and sits at his desk and starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. Afterwards, he leaves to eat his lunch on the school rooftop at 1:00 PM.

He heads back to class at 1:23 PM, then participates in Cleaning Time at 3:30 PM.

At 4:00 PM, he hangs out with the rest of the rainbow boys at the school plaza and stays there until 5:30 PM.

Week 2[]

Sora changes his shoes at 7:00 AM, then goes to the back of the school and hangs out with the rest of the rainbow boys and Moeko Rakuyona. At 8:00 AM, He goes to class in Classroom 3-2 and sits at his desk and starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. Afterwards, he leaves to eat his lunch on the school rooftop at 1:00 PM.

He heads back to class at 1:23 PM, then participates in Cleaning Time at 3:30 PM.

At 4:00 PM, he hangs out with the rest of the rainbow boys and Moeko Rakuyona in the indoor cafeteria and stays there until 5:30 PM.

Week 3[]

Sora will quickly rush to his locker and change into his shoes. At 7:00 AM, he will sit down and read outside of Classroom 1-2.

At 8:15 AM, Sora will run to Classroom 3-2 and sits at his desk and starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. Afterwards, he leaves to eat his lunch on the east side stairs leading to the school rooftop.

Then, Sora runs back to class again at 1:28 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will sit down to read by Classroom 2-1, and stays there until the end of the day.

On Thursday, he will not participate during cleaning time and will instead sit down and read till the end of the day.

Week 4[]

Sora changes his shoes at 7:00 AM, then heads to the school plaza to hang out with the rest of the rainbow boys. At 8:00 AM, He goes to class in Classroom 3-2 and sits at his desk and starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM.

At lunch time, Sora heads over to the Home Economics Room along with the other Rainbow Hair Boys to make a bento for lunch. Making it harder for Ryoba Aishi to eliminate Sumiko Tachibana without a witness. Afterwards, he leaves to eat his lunch on the school rooftop at 1:05 PM.

He heads back to class at 1:23 PM, then participates in Cleaning Time at 3:30 PM.

At 4:00 PM, he goes to the indoor cafeteria to perform raijo taiso along with the Rainbow Haired students and Sumiko Tachibana. At 4:30 PM, he heads to his locker, changes his shoes, then walks out of school with the rest of the rainbow students.

Week 5[]

Sora will quickly rush to his locker and change into his shoes. At 7:00 AM, he will sit down and read outside of Classroom 1-2.

During Week 9, he walks around following Chigusa Busujima along with other male students in Akademi. Making it harder for Ryoba Aishi to kill her without a witness.

Soraroutine — Sora investigating the school

At 7:00 AM, Sora enters the school grounds and immediately investigates various students, including Ryoba.

At 8:00 AM, he walks to Classroom 3-2 and sits at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM and leaves to once again investigate various students at 1:00 PM.

He walks back to class again at 1:30 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. Afterward, he will continue to investigate various students until the end of the day.

Trivia[]

His name is a reference to the most popular male Japanese given names for 2012, 9th most popular being Sora, 10th most popular being Sosuke.^[2]^[3]
The name Sora (空) means ”Sky”. Surname Sosuke (颯輔) means ”Help Of Sound Of The Wind” (So (颯) means ”Sound Of The Wind”, and Suke (輔) means ”Help”).
His female counterpart is Saki Miyu.
- He is the only Rainbow male student whose female counterpart is in a different time period from him, as he is in 1980s mode while Saki is in 202X mode.
The second hairstyle given to him was purposely used for Chojo Tekina, a member of the Occult Club. However, Chojo's hairstyle has slightly different bangs.^[4]
Before the June 29th, 2016 Build, he arrived on school grounds 12th in line on the right side, at 7:05 AM.
As of the August 18th, 2018 Build, he has been removed. YandereDev said that he (with the other rainbow students) will be put back into the game once the frame rate is stable, and if not, then he (along with the other removed rainbow students) will appear in 1980s Mode.
If he was in a club, he'd been in the Cooking Club with Saki.
Because Sora is the replacement of Raibaru Fumetsu in 1980s Mode, Some of his reaction were shared as Raibaru's (E.g. seeing The 1980s Rivals dead and act as Osana's corpse)
Before he was removed from the game, YandereDev thought that he and Riku Soma was probably just as close friends as Saki and Kokona Haruka.^[5]
His role in 1980s Mode is to make it more difficult to eliminate rivals without witnesses.
According to YandereDev, he along with the other Rainbow Hair Students had normal lives after they graduated. ^[6]
