Shin Higaku (real name Shin Higaonna) is a male student who currently attends Akademi.
Appearance[]
Shin wears the default uniform unless customized by the player, and since he is the substitute president of the Occult Club, he wears the "Red Armband of Leadership" with a resemblance of an inverted pentagram on his left arm as of the August 18th, 2018 Build.
Shin has short, messy, dark, navy blue hair. He has light purple eyes with dark circles under them. He always has an unhappy face, with the top half of his face slightly shadowed. Shin wears a black choker necklace with a crescent moon on it. If the Occult Club disbands, he will not wear the choker anymore.

Among the personas currently in the game, Shin is a Teacher's Pet. He will give Ayano Aishi a suspicious look if she aims her camera at him. If he witnesses Ayano commit murder, he will run away and warn his teacher about what he has witnessed. After leading his teacher to the corpse whom he found, he will run and hide straight to Classroom 3-2. He cannot participate in physical fights against murderers.
Routine[]
At 7:05 AM, Shin enters the school grounds. He walks to the locker room at 7:10 AM and changes from his outdoor shoes to his indoor shoes. At 7:15 AM, he walks to the Occult Club on the first floor to chat with other club members, as well as to research the seven mysteries of the school.
At 8:00 AM, Shin walks into Classroom 3-2 and sits at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM, and leaves to go to the outside of the Occult Club to eat his lunch at 1:00 PM.
Shin walks back to class again at 1:30 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. Afterwards, he heads to the Occult Club and stays there until the end of the day. If Ayano Aishi joins in club activities, he will attempt to summon a demon alongdide the other members from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
If the Occult Club is disbanded, Shin will still continue to research the seven mysteries of the school along with the other former members.

- Shin was implemented as of the January 1st, 2016 build.
- Shin's full name is a reference to the Japanese word, "shinhigaku" (神秘学), meaning "mystery" or "occultism".
- Shin is the only member of the Occult Club to be a teacher's pet, as the rest of the members of the club are cowards.
- Shin's appearance is similar to Joker and Akira Kurusu from Persona 5.
- Shin, Tsuruzo Yamazaki, Shoku Tsuburaya, Itachi Zametora, and Kuroko Kamenaga are substituting for the actual presidents of their respective clubs.
- In 202X Mode Shin and Oka Ruto are the only Occult Club members who do not hide their right eyes.
