Inkyu Basu

Inkyu Basu is one of the female students who currently attends Akademi.

Appearance[]

Inkyu wears the default school uniform with purple thigh-high stockings with pink flames at the top unless customized by the player.

She has hot pink hair in two long, thick pigtails held together by fluffy black scrunchies and she has turquoise eyes. She uses catlike contact lenses and wears light blue and light pink eyeshadow. Her lip gloss is light pink, and she has a mole on the left side of her chin. Her bust size is 1.

Among the personas that are currently implemented in the game, Inkyu is a Social Butterfly. She will happily pose for a picture if the player aims their phone at her. If she sees a corpse or witnesses a murder, she will run to the nearest secluded area and call the police. However, if she sees Sakyu Basu's dead body, she'll run up to her body and call the police, sobbing near Sakyu's body. She cannot participate in physical confrontations against murderers unless they kill her sister. If Sakyu is killed without Inkyu witnessing it, she will take on the Fragile persona.

She is a "boke", meaning she is dumb, inquisitive, and ditzy, almost like a mini-Midori Gurin.^[3]

Routine[]

At 7:00 AM, Inkyu enters the school grounds, walks to her locker, and changes from her outdoor shoes to her indoor shoes. Then, she walks to the fountain located on the southwest side of the school and talks with her half-sister, Sakyu Basu. After her conversation, she walks around the exterior of the school with Sakyu, searching for something. They search every major area around the outside, including the fountains and Japanese gardens. At 8:00 AM, she then walks into Classroom 2-2, sits at her desk, and plays around on her phone before her classes start. She starts her morning classes at 8:30 AM.

She then leaves to go to the rooftop to eat lunch with her half-sister at 1:00 PM. She walks back to class again at 1:22 PM, sits at her desk, and plays around on her phone again until her next classes start. Her next classes start at 1:30 PM.

At 3:30 PM, she lastly participates in cleaning time which ends at 4:00 PM. She will continue to walk around the exterior of the school with her half-sister and search for something again. She will not go home until 6:00 PM.

On each day of each rival's week, there will be a different conversation about the lore between the two half-sisters, giving us a total of 50 different conversations. If the police were called into the school, the next day they would have a different conversation. The same will happen if they witness you committing murder and you got away with it, however, this time they will never have another lore conversation ever again.

In previous builds, Oka Ruto would stalk her and Sakyu before and after class, as well as during lunchtime. It's unknown if she'll continue to do this once she's added back into the game.

Sakyu Basu[]

Sakyu is currently her older half-sister.^[4]

She enjoys spending time with her, as stated in her Student Profile.

As they are very close, if the player kills Sakyu in front of Inkyu, she will attack the player with much more force than she's usually capable of. She will also react negatively when Ayano gossips about Sakyu.

Inkyu and her sister were stalked daily by Oka, in a futile search for evidence that they were supernatural beings: Inkyu being a vampire, and her sister, Sakyu, a succubus.

She was implemented in the November 15th, 2015 Build.
If she had a voice in-game, she would sound bubbly and youthful.^[5]
- As of the May 1st, 2020 Build, she has five fully voiced conversations with her sister.
She wears cosmetic contact lenses. YandereDev established this in the additional info section so that people wouldn't think that Inkyu is a monster in human form.^[6]
According to her Student Profile, she is rumored to be a vampire disguised as a human.
Her name is a play on the Japanese Katakana for "incubus", Inkyubasu (インキュバス). Although incubi are supposed to be the male counterparts of succubi, YandereDev has said that this doesn't matter since he thinks it's a cute and feminine name.^[7]
In the future, if her sister dies, she might switch to the sleuth persona.^[8]
Her character model, alongside Sakyu's, can be bought in a pack on the Unity 3D Asset Store. The pack's name is Succubus Twins Character Pack. Her model's name is Asphodel.
The Basu sisters will probably not join any clubs.^[9]
Before the May 1st, 2020 Build, she and her sister would walk to the rooftop and spend their day talking there.
Even outside of school, Sakyu and Inkyu are nearly inseparable. They spend more than 90% of their time with one another.^[10]
Sakyu and Inkyu have the same mother, but different fathers. However, they don't see this as a valid reason to feel any less of a connection to one another.^[11]
She won't accept Ayano's gossip about her sister.
Both Inkyu and Sakyu Basu have murdered countless people their entire lives to prolong their existence.
