The basement is an area of Ayano's house used to keep anyone she has kidnapped.

The Basement Tapes can also be found in the corners of the room.

Appearance[]

BasementMarch15th2020

The third version of the basement.

The atmosphere in Ayano's basement is very dark. The ground looks extremely worn-out and the walls expose water pipes. The staircase was replaced with a simple old wooden ladder and the lamp does not produce light anymore, the source of illumination in the basement is unknown. There are two steel bed frames and two new chairs that are more detailed, along with two poles. There are various tools to the far right of the room, including brooms, shovels, a big bike's wheel, another ladder, a radio, a few boxes, and some books sitting on a wooden shelf. There's also two non-functioning long lamps, a stool with a book on top and an antique coal boiler.

First Appearance[]

Basement

First basement appearance with a kidnapped student.

The first basement was originally depicted being a bare, generic looking basement with light grey walls and a dark grey floor. An extension cord can be seen on an upper beam. In the middle of the room, a metal pole is used to tie the kidnapped people to. The stairs near the pole lead to Ayano Aishi's bedroom. Ayano could not physically walk up the stairs, but rather use the HUD menu to enter the floor above.

Second Appearance[]

Basement-0

The second version of the basement.

This updated appearance was given a darker and more eerie atmosphere, and bowed beams on all of the walls. A staircase leading back upstairs is located at the far left corner. Two tapes are located in the bottom left and bottom right corners. A single empty wooden chair is in the middle of the room, which is used to hold a kidnapped student.

Usage[]

Ayano Aishi can kidnap female students and hold them in her basement. Victims used to be tied up to a pole, but they are now tied to a chair. They will look at Ayano and speak when she is nearby.

When the player walks up to the kidnapped victim and presses "E", they are taken to a screen where they are able to torture the victim for a certain period of time, or take them to school with them if the victim's sanity is low enough.

Basement Tapes #1 and #10 are found here. The player can listen to them in the Computer Lab by using the Tape Machine.

When at the stairs of the basement, a HUD pops up of where the player can go. They can either choose to go to Ayano's Bedroom, Buraza Town, or Akademi. Ayano cannot go to school at night.

In 1980s Mode, the player can kidnap the ten richest girls in the school and sell them to The Yakuza, who will hold them hostage until their families pay a large amount of ransom money.

Trivia[]

  • The basement is soundproof, so no one can hear anything that goes on in the basement, even if they are standing directly above it.[1]
  • According to Basement Tape #1, the brown chair in the room used to hold Ryoba Aishi's senpai, and her mother's senpai before that.
  • When a student is kidnapped, the School Atmosphere will drop by five points, but no one will ever look for girls in Ayano Aishi's house.[2]
  • Senpai appears kidnapped in the Genocide ending.
  • As of the 15th June build boxes are added to the Basement. There are 8 boxes.
  • You can now kidnap 10 students. If you kidnap a student a box disappears, appearing a kidnapping location for the Student.
