The faculty consists of employees at Akademi.

Overview

After an incident in 1989, the Japanese public began to associate Akademi Academy with the thought of murder, and enrollment rates dropped sharply.

In order to restore the school's reputation as a safe place for higher learning, the Headmaster mandated that all faculty members take courses in self-defense.

As a result, every staff member at Akademi — from the teachers to the nurses to the guidance counselor — is capable of defending themself against a direct assault from an armed attacker.

Although Kocho Shuyona openly expresses his suspicions towards Ayano, he did not warn the rest of the faculty about her.

Kocho Shuyona is the Headmaster. He administrates the school and narrates the Headmaster's Tapes.

Guidance Counselors

Guidance Counselors work in the Counselor's Office and will discipline the protagonist when she misbehaves. The protagonist will also be able to frame her rival for breaking school rules.

Genka Kunahito is the guidance counselor in 202X Mode. Genka's mother, Mae Kunahito, is the guidance counselor in 1980s Mode.

Nurses

Nurses work in the Infirmary. They're the school's full-time nurses.

Nasu Kankoshi is the nurse in 202X Mode. Juri Nagasawa is the nurse in 1980s Mode.

Muja Kina will study to become a nurse in the Infirmary. During her week, she will receive training from Nasu Kankoshi.

Teachers

Teachers teach the students at the school.

Gym teachers will stand near the gate within the school grounds and observe the students coming to school. She will also patrol the faculty room when the teachers have left for class time or do paperwork during lunchtime.

Mida Rana, one of Ayano's rivals, will fill in as a substitute teacher for Kaho Kanokogi on the seventh week, who at the time will take a vacation leave. The following teachers appear in 202X Mode:

Trivia

• There won't be any janitors working at the school, because students in some Japanese schools have to clean up the school themselves.
• According to YandereDev, he is open to adding more male faculty members to the school in addition to the Headmaster. However, he does not plan to do so because he does not have the necessary models or voice actors.
  • During the early development of Yandere Simulator, someone suggested to YandereDev that Ayano should have enemies that wouldn't be just her rivals. This person suggested one of the faculty members in Akademi be insane, murderous, hiding dark secrets, and would kill Ayano if the truth is discovered about them. The same person kept insisting that the chemistry teacher would be a serial killer who dissolved the bodies of students in acid, and revealing the truth about him would prompt a minigame. The minigame would involve him chasing down Ayano, laughing like a maniac while throwing test tubes filled at acid at her.
    • While a boss minigame would not suit Yandere Simulator, YandereDev considered it a memorable concept and had it stuck in his head for a bit.
• Before the events of 1980s Mode, there was a murder at Akademi, which prompted the school to force faculty members to undergo self-defense training.
• As of the March 31st, 2016 Build, the Profile of faculty members says "Occupation" instead of "Club".
• As of the August 15th, 2016 Build, the player can kill teachers. If a teacher has been killed, she will be replaced by a randomly generated teacher the next day.
• All faculty members from 1980s Mode were born after World War Two.
• Male teachers are highly unlikely to be added.
• One or two of the 202X faculty members were students of Akademi.
