Ryoba's rival for the eighth week in 1980s Mode is Komako Funakoshi. The students will also read books throughout the academy, just like in the second week. The difficulty in eliminating her is that she is followed by a crowd of her fans (more specifically, the rainbow girls) throughout the day.

At 7:00 AM, Komako has a conversation with Senpai at the entrance of the school. She tells him that she accidentally made an extra bento that morning, and not wanting the food to go to waste, she gives it to Senpai.
At 7:10 AM, Senpai arrives at classroom 3-2 and leaves a bento on his desk.
From 7:25 AM to 8:00 AM, Komako is in the Zen Gardens with the Rainbow Six students following her around, and admiring her.
From 4:08 PM to 5:05 PM Komako is back in the Zen Gardens.
At 5:15 PM, Komako meets Senpai at the school entrance and asks him if he liked the bento. If Ryoba did not interfere or do anything to the bento, Jokichi will say that he liked it and he and Komako will go home.

At 7:00 AM, Komako talks to Senpai at the entrance to the school. He lends her a book on the condition that she return it at 5:15, after which they will discuss its contents together.
At 7:10 AM, Komako comes to classroom 2-2 and leaves her book bag there.

From 7:25 AM to 8:00 AM Komako is in the Zen Gardens.
From 4:08 PM to 5:05 PM Komako is back in the Zen Gardens.
At 5:15 PM, Komako meets Senpai at the school entrance. If Ryoba didn't interfere in any way and didn't steal the book, Komako will return the book to Jokichi and they will go home together.

At 7:00 AM, Komako talks to Senpai at the entrance of the school. She tells him that she has something for him and asks if he is free during lunch, then makes an appointment to meet him on the rooftop during lunch, promising to show him something.
At 7:10 AM, Komako arrives at class 2-2 and leaves her bag along with the gift box on her desk.
- Ryoba can put something obscene in the box (cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, or condoms) as a part of the rejection method.
From 7:25 AM to 8:00 AM Komako is in the Zen Gardens.
At 1:00 PM, Komako meets Senpai on the roof and gives him her gift. If Ryoba did not interfere or do anything with the gift, Jokichi will accept the gift and say that he really liked it, after which they both sit down to eat.
From 4:08 PM to 5:05 PM Komako is back in the Zen Gardens.
At 5:15 PM, Komako leaves for home alone.

At 7:00 AM, Komako talks to Senpai at the entrance of the school. She invites him to go to the cinema with her, to which he agrees. Seeing that Komako is extremely sleepy, Jokichi suggests that she take a nap after cleaning, and she takes note of his idea.
At 7:10 AM, Komako comes to class 2-2 and leaves her bag there.
- Ryoba can put sedative in Komako's bento to make her oversleep the meeting as a part of the rejection method.
From 7:25 AM to 8:00 AM Komako is in the Zen Gardens.
From 3:33 PM to 4:00 PM, Komako sleeps on a cot in the infirmary. If Ryoba added a sedative to her bento, Komako will sleep for the rest of the day.
From 4:08 PM to 5:05 PM Komako is back in the Zen Gardens.
At 5:15 PM, Komako meets Senpai at the school entrance. If Ryoba didn't interfere or do anything to Komako's bento, they'll go to the movies together.

At 7:00 AM, Komako talks to Senpai at the entrance to the school. Noticing that something is wrong, she asks him what happened. Jokichi tells her that he has a test today and he doesn't have time to study for it. Komako offers to share her notes with him, to which he agrees.
At 7:15 AM, Komako arrives at class 3-2 and leaves notes on Senpai's desk.
- Ryoba can mess up the notes as a part of the rejection method.
From 7:25 AM to 8:00 AM Komako is in the Zen Gardens.
At 1:00 PM, Komako meets Senpai on the roof. She asks him if the notes helped him or not. While Ryoba didn't interfere or do anything with the notes, Jokichi says that they helped him a lot, and they both sit down to eat.
From 4:08 PM to 5:05 PM Komako is back in the Zen Gardens.
At 6:00 PM, Komako confesses her love to Senpai. If Ryoba doesn't sabotage the events or fails to eliminate her before 6:00PM, Senpai will happily accept her confession. But if they successfully eliminate her or sabotage all the events before the deadline, Senpai will reject her confession. If Ryoba successfully matchmade Komako and her suitor, after some hesitation, Komako will decide to confess to Bunzo Ohta.

On Saturday, Ryoba begins her monologue, saying that she learned that a new girl, Chigusa Busujima began to show signs of attention to Senpai. She talks a little about her and her character and also hints at canonic Chigusa elimination, then the monologue ends.
