Chigusa Busujima is the ninth[2] rival and one of the female students who attended Akademi in 1980s Mode. Following the game's storyline, she was Ryoba's tenth rival.
Appearance[]
Chigusa has straight, mid-back length medium blonde hair with parted bangs. The hair on her left is tucked behind her ear, with one strand falling loose over her eyes and another resting on her shoulder. She has crimson eyes. She has a bust size of 1.5.
She wears the default 1980s uniform with black stockings.
Her black stockings represent her dark secret.[3]
Personality[]
Chigusa is an exceptionally attractive girl who has risen to minor stardom as a 'gravure idol.'
Despite the fact that she only started her career very recently, she has already been featured in numerous magazines and has become very well-known amongst the young men of Japan.
She has countless male admirers at school who follow her nearly everywhere she goes, unable to resist admiring her beauty for as long as they can.
An exceptionally attractive girl who has risen to minor stardom as a 'gravure idol.' Has countless male admirers at school.
Among the personas that are currently implemented in the game, Chigusa is Lovestruck. If she witnesses a murder, she will run to Jokichi Yudasei and inform him that Ryoba Aishi is a murderer, causing an automatic Game Over.
Chigusa will become a Snitch on Week 10 if she is eliminated peacefully.
As expected from a gravure idol, Chigusa appreciates hearing that she is "sexy" or even compliments of her panties. She also won't care much about more "usual" compliments like "you look nice". However, she doesn't like when someone pressures her to sleep with him or takes her nude photos against her will.

"Sometimes, when I'm following my Senpai home from school...I notice that he likes to buy certain magazines from convenience stores. Magazines featuring... "gravure idols"... Attractive young women who strike provocative poses in revealing outfits. He's a big fan of one girl in particular. Since her debut, he's bought every magazine with even a single photo of her. And...she just transferred into Akademi. Most of the school's male population are already completely infatuated with her... They follow her around school like pack of pathetic, lovesick puppy dogs...and my Senpai is among them. As much as I'd love to carve a hole in her heart...it might be difficult with so many witnesses surrounding her at all times. Perhaps the best way to deal with her is to set her up with another boy...after all, it's not like it's going to be difficult to find a volunteer."
Routine[]

At 7:05 AM, Chigusa enters the school grounds, then so heading to change her outdoor shoes to her indoor shoes. At 7:10 AM, she drops off her bag by her desk at Classroom 1-2, she will then head to the female locker room to change to her swimsuit and have a photoshoot at the Swimming Pool with help of the Photography Club doing various poses, she will change back to her school uniform then head back to her classroom at 8:00 AM.
At 1:00 PM, she will go head to the rooftop and eat, then head back to class at 1:20 PM. She will participate in Cleaning Time from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM, cleaning near the Swimming Pool.
After Cleaning Time concludes, she will head to the girls' locker room and change to her swimsuit and continue doing photoshoots at the Swimming Pool. At 5:15 PM, she will head back to the locker room and change back to her uniform, then head to the locker to change from her indoor shoes to her outdoor shoes, at 5:30 PM, she leaves the school grounds.
If the atmosphere is low, all of the Photography Club members are dead, or she had survived her week, but still goes to school, she will walk around the school to look at all of the clubs except for the Sports Club and Gardening Club. If she was matchmade with Etsuji Odaka, she will instead cuddle with him on the last bench outside of the hedge maze.

- Monday
At 7:00 AM, Chigusa gives Jokichi a bento and asks Jokichi to meet her at 5:15 PM and tell her how it tasted, which he accepts. At 5:15 PM, Jokichi and Chigusa meet outside the gate and Chigusa asks how the bento was. If the bento wasn't poisoned with an emetic poison, Jokichi says he enjoyed it and the best part was that it was made by Chigusa; they then walk home together. If the bento was poisoned, Jokichi says that the bento made him sick and they walk home separately.
- Tuesday
At 7:00 AM, Jokichi gives Chigusa a book she had asked about and she puts it in her bookbag. They then decide to meet at 5:15 PM so she can return the book. At 5:15 PM, Jokichi and Chigusa meet outside the gate and Jokichi asks her what she thought of it. If the book wasn't stolen, Chigusa says she likes it and gives it back; they then walk to a bookstore so he can buy a copy for her. If the book was stolen, Chigusa apologizes for losing it and they walk home separately.
- Wednesday
At 7:00 AM, Chigusa tells Jokichi she has a gift for him which she'll give to him at lunchtime. She leaves the gift on her desk when she goes to drop off her bag. At 1:00PM, Chigusa and Jokichi meet on the Rooftop where she gives him the gift box. If the contents weren't replaced with contraband, the box will contain a gravure magazine which Chigusa says was recalled for being too raunchy; they then eat lunch together. If the contents were replaced, Jokichi will refuse the gift, leaving a miffed Chigusa to eat lunch alone.
- Thursday
At 7:00 AM, Chigusa invites Jokichi to see a movie after school. During this conversation, Chigusa says that she's tired and Jokichi suggests she take a nap after cleaning time so she doesn't sleep through the movie. At 4:00 PM, she takes a nap in the Infirmary. If her bento wasn't poisoned with a Sedative, Chigusa meets Jokichi at the gate at 5:15 PM and they leave school to see the movie. If her bento was poisoned, Jokichi will get impatient and go home at 5:55 PM.
- Friday
At 7:00 AM, Chigusa talks to Jokichi. During this conversation, Jokichi will tell her that he is worried about a test that they will have before lunch. Unfortunately, he lost all of the notes he took and was unable to study before the test. Chigusa copies her notes for him and leaves them on his desk. At 1:00 PM, Chigusa and Jokichi will meet on the roof and she will ask him if the notes helped. If the notes weren't sabotaged, Jokichi says he aced the test and they eat lunch together. If the notes were sabotaged, Jokichi says the notes didn't help him at all, slightly offending Chigusa in the process, and they eat lunch separately.
At 5:00 PM, Chigusa will go to Jokichi's locker and leave a note asking him to meet her under the cherry tree behind the school. If Ryoba Aishi matchmakes her, she will go to Etsuji Odaka's locker instead. Chigusa will then run to the Confession Tree and wait for either Jokichi or Etsuji. She will then confess her love to him. If she confesses to Jokichi, he will either accept her feelings or reject them. If she confesses to Etsuji, he will accept her feelings.
Task[]

Chigusa Busujima wants to perform a "duo" gravure photo shoot to advance her career faster. Whenever Chigusa is at the school pool being photographed by other students, go to the locker room, change into a swimsuit, join her at the pool, and participate in a gravure photo shoot with her.
The player must sew a bikini in the Sewing Room, and change into it, to access Chigusa's task. Her task will be unavailable on Week 10 or if the atmosphere is low during Week 9.

Jokichi Yudasei[]

In the ninth week of 1980s mode, Chigusa befriends Jokichi and develops feelings for him. Canonically, she ends up falling in love with her suitor instead.
Etsuji Odaka[]

Chigusa's suitor is Etsuji, and Ryoba can matchmake Chigusa with him.
Canonically, Ryoba does matchmake Chigusa with him, resulting in the two becoming a couple.
After the events of 1980s Mode, she quit her job as an idol and married Etsuji, since idols aren't allowed to be in relationships.[4] They have five kids.[5]
She continued her gravure career for a bit that it was enough to keep her comfortably wealthy, she then quit her career just to marry Etsuji and focus her life as a wife and mother.[6]
Chigusa's parents were fine with their daughter dating Etsuji.[7]
Out of all the boys in school, Etsuji was the only one willing to go through the trouble to be matchmade with Chigusa.[8]
Canon Elimination[]
Chigusa's canon elimination is matchmaking.
- Buy the Girly Pink Panties and improve Ryoba's psychology and seduction to help Matchmaking. Buy jewelry from the gift shop for Etsuji Odaka to give to Chigusa.
- Go to Chigusa's bag and read her diary and magazine, determine what Chigusa likes based on her magazine.
- Tell Etsuji what she likes after doing a task for him. Take him to the running track so that his strength will be increased.
- Next, do Chigusa's task. Tell her someone wants to court her and then tell him that she's at the fountain.
- If Chigusa is in a bathing suit, she will refuse to court.
- If it's lunch time, she will refuse to court.
- After tellling Chigusa to court, tell Etsuji what to say to Chigusa during the courtship, Utilize the likes and dislikes, compliments, gifts and showing off.
- Chigusa accepts vulgar compliments such as "I like your panties!". She dislikes mild compliments such as "I like your stockings!"
- Once the player informs Etsuji of what to do, tell him to go court Chigusa.
- Repeat this process everyday until she falls in love with him instead. After they reach enough points, she will confess to Etsuji instead of Jokichi.

To get "revenge" on them, she decided to work hard to become a fashion model to "prove" that she is not ugly. 50% of success in being a model depends on the genetics you were born with, but it also takes a lot of discipline — eating healthy, following strict skincare routines, and so on.[14]
- She also worked very hard for her figure, which resulted in her being very physically fit.[15]
