Bunzo Ohta

Bunzo Ohta is one of the male students who attended Akademi in 1980s Mode.

Appearance[]

Current[]

Bunzo has silver hair with dark teal-like tips styled in a bowl cut. His bangs part on the left and leave a gap. They cover his eyebrows save for where the gap is. His eyes are dark teal.

If the player tells him Komako Funakoshi's hairstyle preference in order to matchmake him with her, he will tie a small tuft of hair into a small ponytail on the left upper back of his head or slick his bangs back.

He wears the default 1980s uniform with a Chloroauric Acid pin on his left chest.

Before the January 11th, 2024 build, his eyes were black.

Before the October 21st, 2024 build, his hair was black and his eyes were dark purple.

Among the personas that are currently in the game, Bunzo is a Teacher's Pet. If he sees a corpse or witnesses Ryoba Aishi commit murder, he will run to tell his assigned teacher, unless another Teacher's Pet already has. He cannot participate in physical fights against murderers unless Komako Funakoshi is killed in front of him.

Routine[]

Week 1, 9, and 10[]

At 7:00 AM, Bunzo enters the school grounds. He walks to the locker room at 7:05 AM and changes from his outdoor shoes to his indoor shoes. At 7:15 AM, he then walks to the Science Club on the third floor and experiments with chemical compounds, occasionally walking to and from the storage room that is on the west side of the second floor.

At 8:00 AM, Bunzo walks to Classroom 3-1 and sits at his desk. He starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM, and leaves to go to the outside of the Science Club to eat his lunch at 1:00 PM. Bunzo walks back to class again at 1:30 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. Afterwards, he heads to the Science Club and stays there until the end of the day. But if the Science Club disbands, he will socialize with the other former members in the Science Lab.

Week 2[]

At 7:00 AM, Bunzo enters the school grounds with the other members of the Science Club. He walks to the locker room at 7:05 AM and changes from his outdoor shoes to his indoor shoes. After doing so, he will head to the second floor to read in front of the Student Council Room and stays there until 8:15 AM.

At 8:15 AM, Bunzo will run to Classroom 3-1 and sits at his desk and starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. Afterwards, he leaves to go to the outside of the Science Club to eat his lunch at 1:00 PM.

Afterwards, he runs back to class again at 1:23 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will go outside and read by the back entrance on the east side of the school, and stays there until the end of the day.

On Thursday, he will not participate during cleaning time and will instead sit down and read till the end of the day.

Week 3[]

At 7:00 AM, Bunzo enters the school grounds with the other members of the Science Club. He walks to the locker room at 7:05 AM and changes from his outdoor shoes to his indoor shoes. After doing so, he will head to the second floor to read in front of the Calligraphy Room.

At 8:15 AM, Bunzo will run to Classroom 3-1 and sits at his desk and starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. Afterwards, he leaves to go to the outside of the Science Club to eat his lunch at 1:00 PM.

Afterwards, he runs back to class again at 1:23 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will sit down to read by the Occult Club, and stays there until the end of the day.

On Thursday, he will not participate during cleaning time and will instead sit down and read till the end of the day.

On Friday, he will instead read at the indoor cafeteria, and have his lunch by the Martial Arts Club.

Week 4[]

At 7:00 AM, Bunzo enters the school grounds with the other members of the Science Club. He walks to the locker room at 7:05 AM and changes from his outdoor shoes to his indoor shoes. After doing so, he will quickly head outside to sit down and read on the bleachers.

At 8:15 AM, Bunzo will run to Classroom 3-1 and sits at his desk and starts his morning classes at 8:30 AM. Afterwards, he leaves to go to the Home Ec Room to eat his lunch.

Afterwards, he runs back to class again at 1:23 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will sit down to read by the Student Council Room, and stays there until the end of the day.

On Thursday, he will not participate during cleaning time and will instead sit down and read till the end of the day.

Week 5[]

Then, he runs back to class again at 1:23 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will sit down and read by Classroom 2-1, and stays there until the end of the day.

On Thursday, he will not participate during cleaning time and will instead sit down and read till the end of the day.

Week 6[]

Then, he runs back to class again at 1:23 PM and participates in cleaning time between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, he will head outside to sit down and read by the Swimming Pool and Gymnasium, and stays there until the end of the day.

On Thursday, he will not participate during cleaning time and will instead sit down and read till the end of the day.

Week 8[]

During week 8, Bunzo will deviate from his regular routine to follow Komako Funakoshi around the school from time to time. When he is not stalking her, he will spend time in the Plaza.

Komako Funakoshi[]

Bunzo has a crush on Komako and is her suitor. If he is matched with Komako, the two will begin a romantic relationship with each other, which will eliminate Komako.

When Komako withdrew from Akademi due to the gossip, he felt sad.^[2] He also tried to approach her and got rejected, due to the scarring that affected Komako from her reputation dropping after talking to Jokichi.^[3]

Trivia[]

Bunzo's name derives from "Bunzō," consisting of the writing, "sentence, text" (bun, 文), while "zō" can be written as "three" (三) or "possession, ownership" (藏).
- His surname, Ohta, is a common Japanese surname which means "grand, big" (ō, 太) and "rice paddy" (ta/da, 田).
He became a scientist.^[2]
