I boot up the game, go thru the warning and sponsors pages, but the main menu is completely black. Saw a similar post, redownloading did nothing, neither did the spacebar method

That might be in fact a GPU driver's issue. Maybe some incompatibility between OS and GPU drivers, as with some other games and professional video production tools (like Da Vinci Resolve) which relies on GPU. Try running the game on lowest graphic settings, it should omit all advanced GPU rendering stages and possibly let you display menus, at least at low-fidelity. And if you want all the features, you can try upgrading your GPU driver or switching to another version. (Worth consulting on specialist forums, as they probably have already picked most-compatile versions.)

tried both those. didn't work. might look at GPU but if its too much work I'm not gonna waste my time.

I had the same problem. I read that it could be because the game's install was incomplete. I installed it using the launcher, so I tried to download the zip file instead, but the zip was corrupted and wouldn't extract or open either of the times I tried downloading it. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

I legit went on here to discuss the same thing. all day since 4PM my time (it's now 9:24 PM) I've been trying and trying to download yandere simulator I unistalled and reinstalled it multi times, went on wordexpress and downloaded it in zip with mega & mediafire, I attempted to download the latest (but it always comes out as invaild) my problem is that after the sponsors it's just music and a black screen! can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong and ways to fix this problem?
