The baseball bat is a weapon in Yandere Simulator.

Gameplay[]

The baseball bat can be found in the back of the gymnasium, in the left storage room. It can also be obtained by defeating Seishiro Sadanaga, or Tiru Sutoriku, in 1980s Mode, and/or Umeji Kizuguchi in 2026 Mode in a combat mini game.

It is seen as suspicious and cannot be concealed. If a student notices the protagonist holding the bat, her reputation will drop 10 points at high atmosphere, fifteen points during medium atmosphere, and twenty points during low atmosphere. If she joins the Sports Club, she will not be seen as suspicious when carrying it, unless nails have been added to the bat.

If the protagonist performs a stealth kill with the bat, neither she nor the bat will get bloody. If the protagonist performs a frontal attack, the bat will get bloody, but she will not. This makes it possible to frame Umeji, Seishiro, or Tiru, who carries a bat.

The protagonist cannot use the bat when fighting a Heroic student or a teacher and she will automatically lose, as the weapon is too large and unwieldy to use in close quarters.

The bat can be placed inside the cello case, the trash can, or the weapon bag in order to conceal it.

It can be modified into a spiked baseball bat by going into the workshop and combining the box of nails with the bat. However, it will cause a reputation loss amongst students if caught welding it as of the October 1st, 2024 build.

The bat cannot be detected by metal detectors. Unless the nails have been added, for which the bat can be detected. Regardless if it is spiked or not, security cameras will record the protagonist holding the bat as evidence, unless she is apart of the Sports Club and is not wielding a spiked bat.

If the baseball bat is found lying on the ground, someone will pick it up and return it to the gymnasium's storage room. In the future, if a student spots Ayano holding the weapon while she is not part of the club, she will be called a thief, and the bat will be taken away from her. Student AI and pathfinding, however, will have to be revamped before this happens.[1]

Killing Animations[]

There are 4 killing animations for the baseball bat, depending on the protagonist's level of sanity.

  • High Sanity: She will step forward and swing the bat to hit her victim directly in the head, killing them.
  • Medium Sanity: She will hit the student's knee, causing them to fall before she finishes them off by bringing the bat back down on their head.
  • Low Sanity: She will hit the student's back, knocking them to the ground before moving over them and bludgeoning them to death.
  • Stealth Kill: She will sneak up behind her victim, put the bat around the student's neck and snap it.

Trivia[]

  • It was implemented in the March 15th, 2016 Build.
  • Its killing animation is the same as the axe, the nata, wand, shovel, manhole tool, crowbar, pipe, boken, and the shinai.
  • The protagonist can add nails to the baseball bat by using the workbench in the workshop.
    • In previous builds, with nails added to the bat, students will still react with confusion if found on the ground and will return it back to it's original spot but this no longer works.
  • In Asu Rito's bloody illustration, she is seen welding a bloody baseball bat with nails hammered onto the bat.
