Ai Doruyashi is the sixth rival and one of the female students who attended Akademi in 1980s Mode. Following the game’s storyline, she was Ryoba's seventh rival.
Appearance[]
Ai has wavy, cyan pigtails that spiral past her shoulders that are held by crimson hair ties. Her bangs are parted in the middle. She has crimson eyes.
She wears the default 1980s uniform with white ankle-high socks.
Her white ankle socks represent her desire for her fellow idols to fail and even be injured to achieve her dream.[2]
Personality[]
A friendly and energetic girl who dreams of becoming a pop star one day.
She is fully dedicated to her dream of being an idol, and is always seeking experiences that will inspire her to write the lyrics for her next song.
She's so serious about becoming a singer that she has set up a stage in the school gym and spends most of her time there rehearsing her performances, with help from some girls from the Light Music Club.

Among the currently implemented personas, Ai is Lovestruck. If she witnesses a murder, she will run to Senpai and inform him that Ryoba Aishi is a murderer, causing an automatic Game Over.
If Ai is eliminated peacefully, she will become a Snitch in the subsequent weeks.

In the cutscene after eliminating the fifth rival, Ai's silhouette is seen as Ryoba talks about her Senpai.
I can't take my eyes off my Senpai for even one moment...because there's always a new girl trying to steal him from me. This week, my rival is a girl who dreams of becoming a pop idol. She spent so many years of her life learning how to sing and dance...what a shame that all her efforts will go to waste. Bubbly, full of energy, always smiling...guys can't resist that type of girl, can't they? I definitely can't ignore this one. I need to deal with her... and quickly. She set up a stage in the school gym where she rehearses her cute little songs. Microphones... speakers... all those wires and cables...there's got to be opportunity in there somewhere. She wants to captivate an audience, does she? Well, I should lend her a hand...and help her give a shocking performance.
Routine[]

At 7:05 AM, Ai enters the school grounds and changes her shoes. At 7:10 AM, she drops off her bag by her desk at Classroom 2-2. She then heads straight to the Gymnasium and reaches it at 7:18 AM, where she will perform her song with the Light Music Club. She will then head back to her classroom at 8:00 AM.
At 1:00 PM, she will go to the seat near the Light Music Club's entrance and eat, then head back to class at 1:20 PM. She will participate in Cleaning Time from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM, cleaning near the entrance of the Light Music Club.

After Cleaning Time concludes, she will again head to the Gymnasium to practice her song with the Light Music Club. At 5:15 PM, she will end her performance and head to the locker room to change from her indoor shoes to her outdoor shoes, and at 5:30 PM, she will leave school.
If a memorial service is being held in the gym, or if she is alive after Week 6, she will sit near the Light Music Club's entrance and write song lyrics, practice singing, and play air guitar.

- Monday
At 7:00 AM, Ai gives Jokichi a bento, claiming she wants to have first-hand experience of "lovey-dovey stuff" for a song she's writing. Then, she will ask Jokichi to meet her at 5:15 PM and tell her how it tasted, which he will accept. At 5:15 PM, Jokichi and Ai meet outside the gate and Ai asks how the bento was. If the bento wasn't poisoned with an emetic poison, Jokichi says he enjoyed it and they discuss how a bento made with love might taste different as walk home together. If the bento was poisoned, Jokichi says that the bento made him sick and they walk home separately.
- Tuesday
At 7:00 AM, Jokichi gives Ai a book she had asked about and she puts it in her bookbag. They then decide to meet at 5:15 PM so she can return the book. At 5:15 PM, Jokichi and Ai meet outside the gate and Jokichi asks her what she thought of it. If the book wasn't stolen, Ai says it gave her song inspiration and gives it back as she's planning on buying her own copy soon; they then walk home together. If the book was stolen, Ai apologizes for losing it and they walk home separately.
- Wednesday
At 7:00 AM, Ai tells Jokichi she has a gift for him which she'll give to him at lunchtime. She leaves the gift on her desk when she goes to drop off her bag. At 1:00PM, Ai and Jokichi meet on the Rooftop where she gives him the gift box. If the contents weren't replaced with contraband, the box will contain a tape platyer and a cassette tape of Ai's newest song; they then eat lunch together. If the contents were replaced, Jokichi will refuse the gift, leaving an insulted Ai to eat lunch alone.
- Thursday
At 7:00 AM, Ai and Jokichi talk about a movie they're planning to see after school. During this conversation, Ai yawns and Jokichi suggests she take a nap after cleaning time so she doesn't sleep through the movie. At 4:00 PM, she takes a nap in the Infirmary. If her bento wasn't poisoned with a Sedative, Ai meets Jokichi at the gate at 5:15 PM and they leave school to see the movie. If her bento was poisoned, Jokichi will get impatient and go home at 5:55 PM.
- Friday
At 7:00 AM, Ai talks to Jokichi. During this conversation, Jokichi will tell her that he is worried about a test that they will have before lunch. Unfortunately, he lost all of the notes he took and was unable to study before the test. Ai copies her notes for him and leaves them on his desk. At 1:00 PM, AIand Jokichi will meet on the roof and she will ask him if the notes helped. If the notes weren't sabotaged, Jokichi says he aced the test and they eat lunch together. If the notes were sabotaged, Jokichi says the notes didn't help him at all they eat lunch separately.
At 5:00 PM, Ai will go to Jokichi's locker and leave a note asking him to meet her under the cherry tree behind the school. If Ryoba Aishi matchmakes her, she will go to Tadaaki Sunada's locker instead. Ai will then run to the Confession Tree and wait for either Jokichi or Tadaaki. She will then confess her love to him. If she confesses to Jokichi, he will either accept her feelings or reject them. If she confesses to Tadaaki, he will accept her feelings.

Task[]

"Ai Doruyashi wants someone to compose a melody for her so that she can get started producing her next song. Go to the Computer Lab, grab the tape recorder, bring it to the piano located in one of the school's storage rooms, play a melody on the piano, then bring the tape recorder back to her."
To access Ai's task, the player must be a Light Music Club member. Her task will be unavailable if the Light Music Club disbands.

Canon Elimination[]
Ai's canon elimination is Electrocution.
- The player can do this all Monday. Bring a Screwdriver to school, then go to the Audiovisual Room and grab the Power Cord.
- Take it to the Gymnasium, go up on the stage, and plug it into the electrical box. Grab a bucket of water and dump it on the microphone, then "sabotage" the microphone with the screwdriver.
- After all of that, toggle on the electrical box afterward.
Alternate elimination[]
The player is given access to S+ rank as long as she is electrocuted to death, regardless of whether or not she is electrocuted during her performance.
- Option 1: Electrocuting her with the car battery and water via a Water Cooler trap.
- Option 2: Electrocuting her with a snack. In the morning, steal her bento, sabotage a Drinking Fountain (By creating a leak with the Pipe Wrench, placing a power cord in the plug, and using a screwdriver to sabotage the cord). Purchase a snack for $2.00. In cleaning time, ask her to follow you to the sabotaged fountain and give her the snack. Turn on the power before she gets close to the sabotaged water fountain.
- Option 3: Go and get Rat Poison and poison her bento. Sabotage the sink in the Second Floor Bathroom near Classroom 2-1. She will run to the bathroom, vomit in the toilet, and get electrocuted when trying to wash her hands.

- Her canon elimination is being Electrocuted as she performs with the members of the Light Music Club in the Gymnasium.
- Ai was electrocuted to death during a performance in the school's gymnasium by Ryoba Aishi, so her actual status is deceased. Her death was considered an accident.[3]
- However, the player is given access to S+ rank as long as she is electrocuted to death, regardless of whether or not she is electrocuted during her performance.
- She is the last rival to be canonically killed.
- Her song, "Ai Will Shock You", is meant to hint at her canon elimination.
